With the season not starting until January (at the earliest) there are plenty of Kentucky Seniors still looking for a home at the next level. Here’s a look at some of Kentucky’s best unsigned combo guards.

[player_tooltip player_id="793762" first="Kelly" last="Niece"], Simon Kenton - Niece was looking at a Mid Major D1 level recruitment before he tore his ACL in spring of 2019 and then missed out on any coaches being able to see him in the 2020 AAU season. Kelly can really score the ball and would be a steal for a D2 school at this point.

[player_tooltip player_id="923006" first="Jevonte" last="Turner"], Knox Central - Turner is wired to score but can also run a team. He’s a good athlete who could go the Juco route and get several D1 suitors down the line. He’s not been able to play high level AAU in front of coaches and that has hindered his recruiting thus far but Turner can really play.

[player_tooltip player_id="922996" first="Anthony" last="Woodard"], Logan County - Woodard is likely a football player in college but he is athletic enough that he could do both. He’s a contender for 4th region player of the year if we have a season.

[player_tooltip player_id="923004" first="Conner" last="Cooper"], Bowling Green - Conner is overlooked a lot because he’s the 3rd scoring option for BG and his path, like Woodard, is also likely on the football field. Cooper is a high academic student who could contribute to a D3 school right away if he ends up playing basketball.

[player_tooltip player_id="923045" first="Will" last="Downton"], Beechwood - One of the hidden gems of Northern Kentucky, Downton is extremely bouncy and plays both ends of the court. Will was looking at a big Senior season before the shutdown and could certainly play at the small school level.

[player_tooltip player_id="923018" first="Dante" last="Hayden"], Danville - Another player who could be a really good small school player, Hayden is a scorer first and foremost but will likely play on the ball more than ever if we have a season. If Dante could be the 12th region player of the year.
