<p>Coming into the game Rolla was 2-0 and Berthold was 2-1. Lewis & Clark/Berthold had a nice start to the game going up 11-4. It looked like they might blow Rolla out of the water right away. The Bulldogs fought back and kept it from getting out of hand. Rolla played 2-3 zone the entire half and mixed in some half-court traps that forced turnovers and kept Berthold out of sync. Berthold won the first quarter 17-10. The Bombers from Berthold would pick up full-court man after makes that forced a couple of turnovers, they fell back into half-court man. Rolla clawed back in the second. They did a nice job running in transition after misses by Berthold. The Bulldogs made a run late in the first half and took the lead. Rolla took the momentum and a 3-point lead into halftime.</p>
<p>The Bulldogs picked up right where they left off and went on a 5-0 run to start the third. They built their lead to 47-37 before Berthold would call a timeout. The Bulldogs continued to run the floor well and leak players out in transition for easy baskets. Rolla built their lead up to 9 but the Bombers would not quit. They started knocking a few more shots down and [player_tooltip player_id="998917" first="Walker" last="Wold"] hit a 3 as the buzzer sounded in the 3rd to cut the lead to 4 points. The fourth started out fast-paced and the Bombers made a little run to tie it at 51-51. The Bombers and Bulldogs traded baskets and went back and forth at each other. With under a minute Rolla was up 59-57 and Berthold was unable to score. Mitchell Leas finished off the game going 4-4 from the line giving Rolla the win.</p>
<p><strong>Game Takeaways</strong> – Rolla runs the floor as well as anyone I have seen this year. The Bulldogs share the ball and are an unselfish team. They do not have much height, but they are relentless and pesky defensively. Rolla has 4 guys that are legitimate 3-point shooters. [player_tooltip player_id="998917" first="Walker" last="Wold"] is a gifted basketball player. He has the talent to be an All-State player. Berthold is a gritty team, they fought it out until the end.</p>

<strong>Andre Elick (2021) |5-10 G| Rolla</strong> – He is a hustler who flies around the court. Andre is a steady 3-point shooter.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1134988" first="Deryk" last="Thomas"] (2022) |6-0 G| Rolla</strong> – He has a smooth runner/floater. Deryk works hard on the boards and crashes hard. He hit a big triple to start the second half and set the tone.</p>
<p><strong>Logan Elick (2021) |5-10 G| Rolla</strong> – Nice and quick pull up jumper that he uses when the D is backpedaling. He is an aggressive penetrator. Logan is a 3-point threat.</p>
<p><strong>Mitchell Leas (2023) |5-11 G| Rolla</strong> – He has a nice runner/floater. Mitchell is a cunning defender with quick hands. He is a skilled ballhandler who changes pace well. He is a legitimate 3-point threat.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1134992" first="Jacob" last="Gunderson"] (2022) |5-10 G| Lewis & Clark/Berthold</strong> – A solid role player he works hard. He is a legit 3-pointer shooter and he made a few in today’s game.</p>
<p><strong>Seth Fjeldahl (2021) |5-11 G|Lewis and Clark/Berthold</strong> – He is an aggressive cutter. He did a nice job attacking gaps vs. the zone. Jacob hit a couple of big shots late to keep the game close. He leaves it all out on the court.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="998917" first="Walker" last="Wold"] (2021) |6-3 F| Lewis & Clark/Berthold</strong> – He has a long wingspan that leads to deflections and steals. Walker was the best rebounder on the court today, he crashes to O-boards hard. After he snatches an O-board he has quick reflexes for the put-back. He has one of the best jump-shots in North Dakota. Walker is a great free throw shooter. Look for [player_tooltip player_id="998917" first="Walker" last="Wold"] to put up big points all year long for the Bombers.</p>
