I got a chance to enter the Grind Session Bubble, or Mini Bubble as the case may be. It was a great opportunity to see some of the nation’s top players competing. I also got a chance to lay eyes on some top-notch shooters. In this article, PH takes a look at the top Snipers from the event.

[player_tooltip player_id="943443" first="Daniel" last="Esparza"] 6’3 SG Veritas 2021 - He belongs somewhere on my top 25 west coast shooters list. Esparaza may not have the range of some of the other guys in this group, but he is a knockdown shooter from behind the high school 3 point line. He moves well without the ball and can get his feet set quickly to let it go before defenders close.

[player_tooltip player_id="706704" first="Dominic" last="Capriotti"] 6’4 SG Phoenix Prep 2022 - One of the best corner shooters I’ve seen. Capriotti has a favorite spot for sure. He’s a rangy shooter that is a terrific floor spacer from the 2 guard spot. He hit almost all of his 3’s from the right or left corner.

Stefan Todorovic 6’6 SG Prolific Prep 2021 - Was probably the best off the bounce shooter in the group. Todorovic uses his shooting ability to open up the rest of his game. He does it both in catch and shoot situations and off the bounce.

Zach Bloch 6’2 SG Colorado Prep 2021 - I think the word moxie applies to Bloch. He’s mostly a catch and shoot guy, but don’t get it twisted he’ll use a dribble or two to separate, step back and shoot the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id="748749" first="Benny" last="Gealer"] 6’0 CG Rangers 2022 - Gealer was the best catch and shooter I saw on the weekend. It got to the point that he was almost automatic when he got his feet set. He made multiple 3’s in every game, only validating why he is widely considered one of the top shooters on the west coast.

[player_tooltip player_id="1074758" first="Clarence" last="Martin"] 6’6 SF Eduprize 2021 (featured image) - Speaking of step backs, there’s Martin. He has an uncanny knack of making shots off the bounce when he has the chance to step straight back. It’s so specific but it’s effective. He made 4 or 5 of them against Phoenix Prep, helping him leave his stamp on that contest.
