I got a chance to enter the Grind Session Bubble, or Mini Bubble as the case may be. It was a great opportunity to see some of the nation’s top players competing. It also featured a dizzying array of high flyers. In this article, PH takes a look at the top R&J athletes from the event.

[player_tooltip player_id="933469" first="Devontes" last="Cobbs"] 6’3 CG Eduprize 2022 - His speed alone warrants that he makes the list. Cobbs has great open court foot speed, and when he gets his 1,2 set he’s explosive attacking the rim. The best part about his athleticism is that he used it to go vertical to grab rebounds

[player_tooltip player_id="703805" first="Kiran" last="Oliver"] 6’4 SF Phoenix Prep 2022 - Honestly he makes this list blindly. As if it was possible, Oliver impressed even more with his athletic ability. He had his share of spectacular dunks, but it was perhaps the ones he didn’t finish that were impressive. Oliver might be the best bad pass catcher in America as he retrieved several alley-oops that only Wilt Chamberlain could have finished.

Aden Bona 6’10 C Prolific Prep 2022 - Bona is easily the sleeper of all sleepers. He has only been in the country for two months, however at 6’10 and built like Karl Malone it probably won’t take long for people to recognize. He is a fluid rim runner, but his strength is obviously his strength. He punished the rim for several powerful dunks throughout the week.

[player_tooltip player_id="680213" first="Denim" last="Dawson"] 6’5 SG Rangers Basketball 2021 (feature image) - Dawson has such an elaborate offensive game that you may forget that he’s also a big-time athlete. He glides to the rim, but when he gets there he has no problem hammering the ball home. Had a sick dunk in traffic off one.

[player_tooltip player_id="931379" first="Isaac" last="Spears"] 6’4 SG Bella Vista 2021 - Spears caught several lobs, leaving the ground off two feet. He is a combination of speed and leaping ability. It’s not necessarily powerful, but he manages to get off the floor with ease and has tremendous hang time on his layups.

Langston Reynolds 6’3 SG Colorado Prep 2022 - Reynolds is a rising 2022 that is good for a handful of dunks per game. The lefty loves to leave the ground off 1. He has a muscular frame that resembles a college free safety and allows him to burst out of traps, Once in the open court he explodes off the ground and can take off from deep before attacking the rim.
