The Made Hoops West Warm Up is one of the largest events that takes place in the Midwest. This year Made Hoops decided to do a west coast event. The event took place December 12th and 13th at Inspire Courts in Gilbert/Chandler, AZ. Teams from all over the nation participated. Here is a recap of the 2021 standout players I watched.

Zaon Collins 6’0 PG (Las Vegas Pilots):By far one of the most naturally talented point guards out there. Collins is very shifty and is an excellent ball handler who can score with ease. He has a very good mid range game and will make you pay if you let him get loose. He also managed to get some big boards helping the Pilots win some big games. Look for Zaon Collins next year at UNLV. He is sure to bring some serious attention.

Malik Madison, 6’8 C (Sacramento Basketball Club): A very solid big man who has a nice frame and good size. Can play both ends of the court at a high rate. He plays with a lot of intensity and is a solid post player. I watched him punish many players in the post. Extremely high upside.

[player_tooltip player_id="1076622" first="Evan" last="Gonzales"], 6’0 PG NM (Nike Team Swoosh): A fantastic floor general who reads the court very well. He has a very high IQ and can score off the dribble or with his signature outside shot. [player_tooltip player_id="1076622" first="Evan" last="Gonzales"] was consistent throughout the event with his consistent play.

Drew Carter 6’3 PG (Seattle Rotary): This kid is a natural point guard with great court IQ. He has a very quick step and can score very fast. He is a big time shooter who can knock down shots and play defense at a very high rate.

[player_tooltip player_id="1076640" first="Aaron" last="Canizales"] 6’1 SG (Nike Team Swoosh): A good mid range shooter who shoots the ball well off the dribble. Can handle the ball and find open teammates with pin point passes. Plays solid defense and has quick hands. A good three point shooter who will make you pay if you leave him open.

[player_tooltip player_id="1012733" first="Brandon" last="Weston"] 6’5 CG (Hillcrest Prep): [player_tooltip player_id="1012733" first="Brandon" last="Weston"] is just nasty. His slashing ability is off the charts. He can get to the basket and finish efficiently. Weston is also a very hard nosed defender and plays both ends of the court at a high speed. Seton Hall got a good one in [player_tooltip player_id="1012733" first="Brandon" last="Weston"].
