<p>A lightning-quick guard who can put constant pressure on the defense, look for Forgy to show more of his scoring abilities this year following the graduation of [player_tooltip player_id="674468" first="Easton" last="Darling"]. </p>
<p><strong>2.) [player_tooltip player_id="796144" first="Luke" last="Rankin"] (Dallas Center-Grimes, 2021) - 6.4 assists per game</strong></p>
<p>Rankin is half of what should be 3A’s best backcourt ([player_tooltip player_id="682270" first="Cole" last="Glasgow"]). The skilled lefty senior takes fantastic care of the ball, dishing out 6.4 assists per game last year, against just 1.7 turnovers. </p>
<p><strong>3.) [player_tooltip player_id="796185" first="Tony" last="Terrones"] (Gilbert, 2021) - 5.8 assists per game</strong></p>
<p>Gilbert was one of 3A’s highest-scoring teams last year, and Terrones’ ability to feed their scorers was a big reason why. He paces an offense that should be potent again. </p>
<p><strong>4.) [player_tooltip player_id="964880" first="Mason" last="Murphy"] (Ballard, 2021) - 5.4 assists per game</strong></p>
<p>The lead guard for our preseason #1 team in the class, Murphy is a true pass-first guard who thrives on getting his teammates involved. </p>
<p><strong>5.) [player_tooltip player_id="796113" first="Nathaniel" last="Mueller"] (ADM, 2021) - 5.2 assists per game</strong></p>
<p>One of the best cross country runners the state has seen, Mueller has stamina for days, and he can wear down opposing defenders. Equally adept scoring or facilitating, he’s in line for a huge senior season.</p>

<p>An extremely talented lead guard with great court vision and size, Toebe has a great feel for the game and can stuff the stat sheet in a variety of ways. Look for him to improve his turnover number this year.</p>
<p><strong>7.) [player_tooltip player_id="796123" first="Kieren" last="Nichols"] (Knoxville, 2021) - 4.3 assists per game</strong></p>
<p>Also one of the state’s best scorers, Nichols uses his ability to get to the bucket to create not only for himself, but for his teammates as well. </p>
<p><strong>8.) Camden Lo (Saydel, 2022) - 4.2 assists per game</strong></p>
<p>It was a rough year for Saydel, winning just one game, but Lo was a bright spot, showing his ability to create for others. </p>
<p><strong>9.) [player_tooltip player_id="682272" first="Hogan" last="Hansen"] (Waverly-Shell Rock, 2022) - 4.0 assists per game</strong></p>
<p>Hansen averaged 15.5 points and 5.7 rebounds to go with his 4 assists a game. If he can clean up the turnovers a bit, he and the Go-Hawks could have a big-time bounceback season.</p>
<p><strong>10.) Jaxon Baumgartner (Le Mars, 2021) - 3.9 assists per game</strong></p>
<p>Le Mars has two big scorers back, but Baumgartner is the piece that really makes their offense go, getting others involved and protecting the ball.</p>
