GHSA Season Preview: Player Rankings 2021

As the 2020-21 GHSA high school basketball season quickly approaches we will breakdown each classification based on our updated player rankings, highlighting the Top 100.

Class 4A

Known as the state’s most wide-open classification to begin the year with no heavy favorites loaded with superstars, Class 4A produces just five players in the Top 100. Making it an interesting class, No. 3 [player_tooltip player_id="806710" first="Kowacie" last="Reeves"] Jr. (Florida) is head and shoulders above the rest of the competition, but will it be enough to carry the Seminoles to the state championship after nearly his entire supporting cast has vanished? Many can make a case for Westover being a favorite to win it all as they do place two players in No. 46 [player_tooltip player_id="869584" first="Isaac" last="Abidde"] and Monroe transfer No. 62 [player_tooltip player_id="869605" first="Marius" last="Ellis"], two freak athletes. Miller Grove is a proud program with a large senior class paced by tough guard No. 56 [player_tooltip player_id="754284" first="Zyair" last="Greene"]. The Wolverines are battle-tested and could make it to Macon. Rounding out the Top 100 is No. 72 [player_tooltip player_id="1011331" first="Deandre" last="Smart"], who could climb into the Top 50 by the time all is said and done. He was a dominant double-double threat this offseason.
