[player_tooltip player_id="995970" first="Jack" last="Mielke"] (Downers Grove North)

Event: Breakaway Scrimmage

The DGN 6’7” power forward was about as on fire as you can be from three during the 3 on 3 portion of the scrimmage. He drained corner threes one after another with the same mechanics and height off the floor each time. High level shot maker. Rebounded well in his area and moved his feet on the defensive end. Solid athlete.

[player_tooltip player_id="920969" first="Kevin" last="Bozeman"] (Downers Grove North)

Event: Breakaway Scrimmage

This was about the best we have ever seen this 6’7” power forward play. He has always been intriguing since we saw him as a freshman, but now he is starting to put it all together. Skilled and athletic four man that can score inside and out. Connected on several threes off the catch particularly being effective from the corners. Also took his man down to the post where he utilized his quickness and athleticism on spin moves and finishing dump off passes with his bounce in traffic. Runs the floor very fluidly for a big man and garnered several baskets getting down the court in transition.

Aryton Temico (Glenbard South)

Event: Breakaway Scrimmage

The 6’4” wing put it all together in this scrimmage. He started early with his perimeter shooting and then was excellent getting to the rim. Put it on the deck over and over for slashes, transition scores, and coast to coast takes. Also threaded the needle on a long bounce pass.

[player_tooltip player_id="920945" first="Jaehshon" last="Thomas"] (Whitney Young)

Event: Meanstreets Mini-Camp

Thomas had an excellent day. Continues to be a prospect that in our eyes isn’t getting enough attention on the recruiting trail. The 6’2” combo guard has good strength and feel for the game. Thomas is a high level shot maker from the point guard spot. He is most effective creating his own shot off the bounce or pulling up in transition for threes and mid-range jumpers. Also mixed in some tough drives for scoop shots and overall controlled the pace.

[player_tooltip player_id="920942" first="Grant" last="Newell"] (Whitney Young)

Event: Meanstreets Mini-Camp

Newell played well when we saw him last month and continued that momentum with a strong outing at the Meanstreets mini camp. The 6’7” face up four man played with energy on both ends. Opened the day with a big blocked shot. On the offensive end he was quick to the glass for put backs. Worked very well in the pick/roll as a finisher. Drilled several triples off the catch. Also had a nice take, jump stop, and layup.

[player_tooltip player_id="921014" first="Nathan" last="Thompson"] (Effingham)

Event: Pure Sweat Back 2 School Camp

Thompson is a small forward with positional size. He played with tremendous energy on Tuesday night. Was all over the defensive glass starting the break and getting second chance points on put backs. Was also effective as a scorer draining an array of threes especially from the top of the key. Took it off the bounce a few times as well including a sweet euro step.

[player_tooltip player_id="996000" first="Eli" last="Downen"] (Carterville)

Event: Pure Sweat Back 2 School Camp

This 6’5” thick bodied power forward can flat out shoot the basketball. He had his feathery jumper on point drilling multiple corner threes along with one from the top of the key. Also mixed in several mid-range jumpers.

[player_tooltip player_id="920985" first="Parker" last="Wolfe"] (Effingham)

Event: Pure Sweat Back 2 School Camp

Effingham has a stellar 2021 group and Wolfe is the leader at the point. He was about as on fire as we have seen him drilling four triples in a row to start his evening out. The lefty lead guard is a lights out spot up shooter that also runs into them. Threw a full court outlet on the money. Had a steal that he ended up throwing off the backboard to a teammate for a jam. Crafty game around the hoop for scoop shots.

[player_tooltip player_id="920940" first="Anthony" last="Sayles"] (Niles Notre Dame)

Event: Illinois Wolves Scrimmages

The top point guard in the class continues to impress each and every time out. Sayles did it all from his lead guard spot in the scrimmage. Crisp passing early setting up his shooters and big men. One concern of college coaches has been his perimeter shooting. He drilled four triples in this game. Sayles is a more than capable shooter! Used his athleticism and burst getting to the rim for scoop shots. Complete guard that can pass and score. No brainer at the mid-major plus level!

[player_tooltip player_id="765154" first="Scottie" last="Ebube"] (Mundelein)

Event: Illinois Wolves Scrimmages

Ebube is a big and strong five man that is headed to Southern Illinois next season. The 6’8” post player impressed in the scrimmage with his improved mobility. Works well in the pick/roll game as he had multiple finishes. Had an impressive move where he took it strong from the mid-post, jump stopped, and dunked it. Finishes with power in the paint. Defensively he is a brick wall that is tough to go through and he competes on that end.
