All-In Fall League: Week 7 Recap
ALL IN Intrasquad Scrimmage High School Fall League continued last weekend. Here are the standouts.
Week 7 evaluations are written by Tyler Pearson.
Frank Taylor – Glenbrook South – 2021
Savvy and fundamental with good length and a motor, the wing was tough to stop off 1-2 bounces in the half court with his much-improved ball skills, and regularly finished with both hands and contact. Consistently hit shots from three off the catch in both games as well.
Josiah McDonald – Vernon Hills – 2021
Another solid night for the rangy, athletic guard causing havoc on defense in passing lanes while also blocking a few shots. Scored it at all three levels and his still at his best off the bounce getting to the rim, but continues to shoot it well from three.
Zaphan Hammond – Evanston – 2021
Went on a scoring tear this evening, teams really struggling keeping him in front and stopping him from getting downhill. Jump shot was falling for him as well. When; he plays is always one of the more impactful players on the court.
Everton Levy – Evanston – 2021
Smooth natural feel for the game, was able to play well in transition making right decisions. Did well with creating his own shoot and showing ability to hit mid-range jumper. A sneaky quick athletic guard with a solid first step.
Will Thomas – Lake Forest – 2021
Was the backbone of his team in this evening’s scrimmages? Was really getting the job done in the interior, weather it was cleaning the class finishing shots from the dunker or hitting spray outs he was finding ways to be effective.
Sophomore Scrimmage Evaluations: Week 7
Jacob Cohn – Deerfield – 2023
Had a strong day making winning plays for his team. Had a few impressive assist making passes through traffic getting to his second read while limiting his turnovers. Hit big three’s down the stretch ball did not even touch the rim, a good program player for Deerfield in the years to come
Ryder Spector – Deerfield – 2023
Was a force slashing without the ball and crashing the offensive glass. Creative with the ball as well, was able to get downhill and finish some nifty layups despite having a big wide frame. A Tweener in the sense where he can play downlow due to size
Josh Degondy– Deerfield – 2023
Plays the game hard and efficiently, seems to always be in the right position to make a team play. Solid overall defender
Sebastian Rodriguez – Taft – 2023
Acting as his team’s primary scorer in his team scrimmages this evening. Continuously making plays with strong drives to the basket which ended up freeing shooting opportunities later. Was able to get to the line consistently as well and was able to knock them down. Pretty sweat stroke from deep and knocks them down consistently.
Freshmen Scrimmage Evaluations: Week 7
Connor Woodin – Buffalo Grove – 2024
Heady, plus shooter with range off the catch, uses shot very well to setup his dribble penetration finishing with a variety of floaters and pull-up jumpers. Also adept at changing speeds, making quite a few plays off ball screens/
Nate Kasher – Glenbrook South – 2024
Athletic, high IQ, lead guard with strong handle that knows how to get to his spots. Quick first step and consistently was able to create his own shot, scoring at all three levels.
Nick Taylor – Glenbrook South – 2024
Athletic wing/forward with good length and motor. Was relentless at the rim and hard to stop off the bounce. Highly active rebounder on both ends that also redirected and blocked shots on the defensive end.
2024
Jack Dabbs – Stevenson – 2024
A player to keep your eye on in the North Suburbs, currently standing around 6’3” with the long athletic frame prone to get even taller as the years continue to progress. This Dynamic wing can be a late bloomer in the 2024 class. With the shooting ability to stretch the defense and the ability to put it on the floor as well. Also very committed on the defensive end was able to stay in front of small quick guards and bother opponents with his extreme length.
Anthony Martorano – Vernon Hills – 2024
A player that has been more of a scorer in our Fall League, showed a more robust game in the evening’s showings. Really was a game manager handled most of the team’s ball handling abilities setting guys up left and right. Despite that still hit timely baskets on the perimeter and in the paint. Solid on the defensive end as well.
Dylan Einhorn – Vernon Hills – 2024
A good guard that can fulfill the necessary consistent skills of your ideal guard can penetrate and kick, hit the open spot up, shake guys off the dribble and guard one on one.
