Which 2021 guards impressed at the Prep Hoops Wisconsin Top 250 Expo?

[player_tooltip player_id="879986" first="Tanner" last="Resch"] -- 6-foot-1 -- Sussex Hamilton

Resch is mostly known for his outside shooting stroke. But on Sunday, I was really impressed with his overall offensive game. The point guard is a terrific passer, and he also was able to finish really well at the rim. I think that Resch could end up developing into a really solid player at the next level if he finds the right fit. His shooting is what you notice right away, but as you watch him more closely, it becomes obvious that he is much more than just a shooter.

[player_tooltip player_id="804959" first="Jay" last="Hinson"] -- 6-foot-3 -- Wauwatosa East

Hinson would be the perfect glue guy for any college program. The 6-foot-3 combo guard can defend, rebound, and make all of the smart plays that are necessary for his team to win. Hinson's strength isn't scoring the ball, but if you give the Tosa East standout an open shot, he can knock it down. Look for Hinson to have a very productive senior season at Wauwatosa East.

[player_tooltip player_id="804944" first="Jacquez" last="Overstreet"] -- 6-foot-3 -- Oshkosh West

Overstreet had a really great day on Sunday at the Expo. The shooting guard was very hard to slow down when he had the ball in his hands. Overstreet made outside shots, created for his teammates, and also drove to the paint and finished at the rim. I thought that the SG made some really great plays on defense, too. Now that Overstreet is going to be the main guard this season for O-West, I expect him to make a case for being named FVA player of the year.

[player_tooltip player_id="880014" first="Joe" last="Reuter"] -- 6-foot-4 -- Chippewa Falls

Reuter was one of the best scorers in the gym on Sunday. Standing at 6-foot-4, the shooting guard can use his size to get shots off over smaller defenders. He can also use his strength to get to the rim and convert through contact. He has a couple of division two scholarship offers, but if he continues to improve and impress, I think that Reuter can catch the eye of some more college programs.

[player_tooltip player_id="994505" first="Angelo" last="Rizzo"] -- 6-foot-4 -- Janesville Craig

Rizzo is a prospect that D2 and D3 colleges should do their research on. He is a really good shooter who is always looking to get hot on the offensive end. The SG's versatility on offense is very impressive. On defense, Rizzo has no fear. He is looking to lock down the opposing team's best player. As a competitor, Rizzo is the cream of the crop in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id="994427" first="Cade" last="Faber"] -- 6-foot-3 -- Abbotsford

Because he plays in Division 4, I never really got a gauge on what type of prospect Faber was. But on Sunday, Faber played really great against some of the best players in Wisconsin. I thought that the SG was good on both ends of the court. On offense, he is a dangerous slasher in transition who looks to push the pace when he pulls down a rebound. On defense, Faber impacted the game by blocking shots and coming up with a handful of steals.
