Best Athlete | Devin Ceaser Devin Ceaser 6'1" | CG St. Stephen's & St. Agnes | 2022 State VA ’22
Ceaser is a joy to watch in transition. He is a graceful sprinter who can kick it into high gear on a dime and elevate in a hurry.
Best Clutch Performer | Ridge Parks Ridge Parks 5'9" | PG Maret | 2022 MD ’22
Parks hit a couple of cold-blooded shots late in regulation and overtime to push his team over the top. The skilled guard played a tidy game down the stretch and showed some serious moxie in a pressure-packed situation.
Best Finisher | Elliott Black ’22
Black was once again assertive in the paint. He is an authoritative finisher who showcases nifty footwork around the basket. Combine that along with his powerful physique, and it’s easy to see why Black has been so dominant of late.
Best Playmaker | Trey Nelson ’21
Nelson is a smooth left-hander who makes the game look easy. He isn’t afraid to make the simple plays like ball reversals, but also knows when it’s time to be aggressive. Nelson is a two-way playmaker who can force turnovers defensively as well.
Best Rim-Protector | Trenton Picott ’21
Picott is like an octopus with his long arms that are so menacing defensively. He is such a smart defender. You can’t get Picott off his feet with a pump fake. He’ll sit and wait to time the shot perfectly.
Best Shooter | Ryan Cornish Ryan Cornish 6'3" | CG Sidwell Friends | 2021 State MD ’21
Cornish splashed in multiple perimeter jumpers on Tuesday. He did a nice job attacking closeouts and sniping from the in-between areas as well.
Best Underclassmen
Jovani Galarza Jovani Galarza 6'2" | CG Fairfax Christian | 2023 State VA ’23
Galarza has played at a consistent level for quite a while now. His toughness stands out every time.
Jayden Harris ’23
Harris has turned up the aggression and is in full bucket-getting mode. His defensive prowess continues to shine on multiple fronts as well.
Jamie Kaiser ’23
Kaiser’s playmaking ability and intangibles jumped off the page on Tuesday. He’s emerged as a vocal leader who has the ability to make others better.
Shamar Sisco ’24
Sisco is an extremely young player with a game to match. He’s a confident offensive player who is also a pest defensively.
Khalil Williams ’23
Williams was feeling it on Tuesday night. He got into a nice rhythm offensively, scoring in bunches from all over the court. One other observation about Williams was that he knows how to throw his weight around. He regularly uses his size his advantage.
