Over this past weekend, PrepHoops Indiana put on their 7th annual Senior Showcase in Fort Wayne, IN. This was a massive event and tons of seniors from 6 different states were able to showoff their talent and skills to over 120 college coaches that watched both in-person and virtually. Over the next few weeks, we are going to breakdown each team and evaluate each player from that team. Today, we look at Team 6.

Team 6:

[player_tooltip player_id="995992" first="Amarion" last="Fields"] – 5’11″ PG 2021 – Solorio IL:

Fields is smaller lead guard that plays with a ton of energy on both ends of the court. Great defender and had a few steals on the day. Ball handles are ok but need to continue to improve. Really good about mixing up his offense with both driving and shooting. Finished with 35 points in total with five 3's to go with that. Real nice showing from Fields.

Jason Jones – 6’1″ SG – South Bend Washington IN:

Jones is a shooting guard that is solid all-around. Cuts to the basket well without the ball and can create his own shots, and others, with the ball. Solid shooter and had a couple of 3's. Great defender and had a few blocks as well. Finished with 29 points and really showed how good he can be at this event.

[player_tooltip player_id="811114" first="Jaylen" last="Flaniken"] – 6’3″ SF – Detroit Edison MI:

Flaniken is lengthy wing with a ton of skill. Strong and gets to the basket so well. Just so good about playing all over the floor and be active on both ends. Had three 3's and was especially great on the pull-up jumper. Great rebounder and gives his team a bunch of opportunities for second chance points. Finished with 21 points.

[player_tooltip player_id="811113" first="Ryan" last="Grantham"] – 6’4″ SF – Grand Rapids Catholic Central MI:

Grantham is a tall and aggressive wing. Crashes the boards well, especially on the defensive end. Ended up with 16 points but probably could have scored more as he looks to have potential to be a high end scorer. Smart player both on and off the floor (3.95 GPA). Overall, was a solid day for Grantham.

[player_tooltip player_id="920970" first="Aaron" last="McQueen"] – 6’6″ PF – Lane Tech IL:

McQueen is a tall and lanky forward that can stretch the floor a little bit. Had 28 points in total at this event and two, 13 point games. Great rebounder that crashes the boards on both ends. Real good about utilizing his hook shot that is tough to defend. Also a solid mid-range shooter as well. McQueen plays extremely hard and is a smart player off the court with a 4.10 GPA average.

[player_tooltip player_id="874152" first="Colton" last="Jones"] – 6’2″ SG – Valparaiso IN:

Jones is a guard that can play on and off the ball. Taller guard and plays well defensively. Pushes his shot a little on his release so might need to fine tune that a little. Stole the ball a few times and looked great on the fastbreak. Ended up with 12 points on the day. Jones has a high GPA of 4.10. Still some things to adjust but could breakout soon.

Ethan Osowski – 6’3″ SG – LaPorte IN:

Osowski is a taller shooting guard with some talent. Had four 3's on the day and ended up with 28 points in total. Real good shooter off the catch and does a good job in creating his own shot, as well. Talented enough to be a factor playing on or off the ball. Underrated showing from Osowski and has some breakout ability.

[player_tooltip player_id="920976" first="Cameron" last="Mallory"] – 6’5″ SF – Lincoln Way East IL:

Mallory is a long and lanky wing prospect. There is some sneaky athleticism that pairs well with his solid defense. Great looking shot but just didn't get a ton to go in. Best game was his first game as he dropped 10 points ending up with 18 total. Solid showing from Mallory.

[player_tooltip player_id="1051878" first="Austin" last="Treece"] – 6’7″ PF – Tri-Unity Christian MI:

Treece is a big power forward that can be a problem in paint. Legit size to play at the next level. Very strong on rebounds. Shot a little from the outside but the inside is more of his game. Only had 5 points but does look to have some potential that has not been tapped into yet. Does have an offer from Adrian (MI).
