Prep Hoops AZ Top 250- Top Competitors

The Prep Hoops Arizona Top 250 Expo took place on Sunday October 11th at Inspire Courts in Gilbert. This report takes a look at the top competitors in the event who play the game at a maximum effort level.

5’10 PG Isaiah Hicks of San Marcos HS (CA) - 2021

Hicks is a one-man who is a supreme passer who excels in transition making plays for himself and others. But his best asset is his motor. He plays hard on every possession and does not back down to anyone. He meets every challenge head on.

He never stops running and his tank is always full. You will have a tough time keeping up with him unless you are in max-out mode.

5’11 PG [player_tooltip player_id="706700" first="Anthony" last="Jaramillo"] of Mountain Pointe HS (AZ) - 2022

Jaramillo is a real solid point guard with skills and a highly competitive instinct. He brings it on every possession from start to finish. His effort is relentless.

He’s a real solid ball handler and a fairly good long-range shooter. He plays with a ton of confidence and knows that nobody will out-work him.

Jaramillo is a guy you hate to play against which is the ultimate compliment for any player.

6’2 G/F/C Malachi Murrell of LA Quinta HS (CA) - 2022

Murrell is a young version of Draymond Green. He can play anywhere on the floor and he has a big-time motor. HIs natural instinct is to battle tooth and nail the whole way and compete his you-know-what off.

His versatility at both ends of the floor is a tremendous asset for a team. He can do anything the team needs done. Great one to have on your side!

6’0 PG [player_tooltip player_id="1067125" first="Noah" last="Rasmussen"] of Chandler Prep Academy (AZ) - 2022

Rasmussen is a high IQ and hardworking one-man who finds a way to get things done through smarts and effort. And non-stop from start to finish.

Even a basketball novice can appreciate his approach to the game. He has the intangibles covered in a big way.

He does have good ball handling and passing skills and he can run a team and truly lead by example.

5’11 CG [player_tooltip player_id="917027" first="Garrett" last="Rogers"] of Columbine HS (CO) - 2021

Rogers is a combo guard who is the ultimate competitor with a solid all-around skill set. He won’t strike fear in anyone by how he looks, but he will max out everything he has. It’s quite refreshing to see a kid who gets it done by out-working his opponents.

He can score at all three levels (perimeter, mid-range, at the rim) and he is a real nice passer. His best skill is that he is a lights-out shooter with long range. Do not leave him open or he will bury you.
