It’s been an eventful fall with various events occurring all over the region. Now is a good time to reflect upon what we’ve learned during this busy time. Here is a closer look at some of the top bigs we’ve seen during the last several weeks.

Eli DeLaurier ’24

The biggest thing that stands out with DeLaurier is his effort. He understands how important it is for a big man to sprint up and down the court. DeLaurier also has good size to go along with strong hands and is a capable scorer with his back to the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id="543846" first="Oluwasegun" last="Durosinmi"] ’21

"Duro" as he is referred to by his teammates, is a massive paint presence who likes to finish with authority. He was responsible for one of the most memorable plays of the fall when he broke the rim at the PYBL Showcase.

Ben Hall ’22

Hall is a hidden gem from Virginia with a solid all-around game. He is efficient with the ball and can conduct an offense from the low or high post. Hall is a confident floor spacer and a good rebounder who has strong enough hands to consistently pull it down in traffic.

[player_tooltip player_id="999617" first="Carter" last="Lang"] ’23

Lang is a big southpaw with the ability to score inside and out. His body is transforming nicely as he matures physically, and he should only improve as this process continues.

Sekou Kaba ’21

Kaba stood out because of the motor he displayed during PYBL Session 1. The big man asserted himself and gave his under-manned team a much-needed physical presence on the interior.

Moussa Ngom ’21

One thing that Ngom does well, particularly for a big man, is moving his feet. He sits low in his stance and this helps him be effective when defending ball screens.
