Class 1A – Region 6 Preview

<p>The Bamberg-Ehrhardt HS Red Raiders have a great senior duo combination this coming season. The Red Raiders have dropped down in classification to boot. The Allendale-Fairfax HS Tigers have [player_tooltip player_id="927525" first="Shawn" last="Jones Jr."] Class 1A-Region 6 has some very good SENIORS for college programs to recruit for next season.</p> <p><em><strong>Predictions: </strong></em></p> <p><strong>Allendale-Fairfax HS -</strong> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="927525" first="Shawn" last="Jones Jr."]</strong> is back to lead the Tigers.</p> <p><strong>Bamberg-Ehrhardt HS - </strong>The Red Raiders have the best duo in the region in <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="840251" first="Jacoby" last="Crosby"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="747009" first="Justin" last="Baxter"]</strong>. </p> <p><strong>Bethune-Bowman HS - </strong>Can <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="840270" first="Bradley" last="Washington"]</strong> carry the Mohawks into the playoffs ? </p> <p><strong>Estill HS -</strong> The Fighting Gators are finally in the Lower State this year. Estill #5 seed last season defeated McCormick HS and Hunter-Kinard-Tyler HS before being ousted by eventual champion Great Falls HS in the Upper State Semifinals. The Fighting Gators finished last season at (10-16). </p> <p><strong>Branchville HS - </strong>Last season was a long year for the Yellow Jackets. </p> <p><strong>Bridges Prep (Beaufort) - </strong>Honestly I have no idea and information on this new charter school program. </p> <p><em><strong>Players to Watch in the Region:</strong></em></p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="927525" first="Shawn" last="Jones Jr."] (2021) - Allendale-Fairfax HS - Prep Hoops Player of the Year </strong></p> <p>Jones Jr. has been a fixture for the Tigers since his freshman season. Jones Jr. is like having a coach on the floor with his play. Jones Jr. plays quarterback in the fall for the Tigers football team. Jones Jr. is has the ability to knockdown mid-range jumpers along with finding the open man on the floor. Crosby a left-handed guard-wing player is black to lead the team. Crosby will play for his father this season on the basketball team. Baxter feels very comfortable playing face-up from the elbow in. Baxter averaged 16.3 ppg and 16.6 rebounds last season for the Red Raiders. Washington has been making noise for the Mohawks since his sophomore season. Washington can knockdown the three ball or take feels very comfortable shooting the ball on the perimeter. </p> <p><strong>James Fields (2021) - Estill HS </strong></p> <p>Fields 5’9 combo guard averaged 6.3 ppg last season for the Fighting Gators.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
