<p>The 2023 class is loaded with potential with guards <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="850751" first="Dajuan" last="Wagner Jr"]. </strong>and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="850752" first="Simeon" last="Wilcher"] </strong>paving the way. Wings <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="902732" first="Mackenzie" last="Mgbako"] </strong>and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="850753" first="Akil" last="Watson"]</strong> are also talented prospects who will make an impact at the next level. The big men in the group are also highly skilled who are ready to have standout 2020-21 campaigns. Here are the top newly ranked big men in the 2023 class.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="992524" first="Aaron" last="Bradshaw"], 7’0 PF Roselle Catholic</strong></p>
<p>The Lions have to replace Gatorade Player of the Year <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="850316" first="Cliff" last="Omoruyi"]</strong> and they have the player to do so in Bradshaw. The lanky 7-footer has a good faceup game and can handle the ball on the perimeter. Bradshaw has a nice release on his shot and his range extends past the three-point line. His athleticism and length makes him one of the top shot-blockers in the 2023 class. Bradshaw is a skilled post prospect who is ready to shine for Roselle Catholic.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1013075" first="Carson" last="Howard"], 6’7 PF Lacey</strong></p>
<p>Howard is one of the top big men in the Shore Conference and should have a big sophomore season. The 6’7 forward plays with good footwork around the basket and has a good post game. Howard has a nice touch around the basket and is unafraid of finishing through contact. He can handle the ball on the perimeter and rips down rebounds on both ends of the floor. Howard is a strong power forward prospect who should continue to play well for Lacey.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1013074" first="Chris" last="Santner"], 6’8 PF Roselle Catholic</strong></p>
<p>Bradshaw is not the only talented 2023 big man for the Lions as Santner has the ability to make an impact this season as well. The 6’8 forward knows how to create position for himself down low and has a nice touch around the basket. Santner can finish through contact and is able to play on the perimeter as well. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and is a solid post defender. Santner is a tough forward prospect who is a good compliment for Bradshaw down low.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1013065" first="Ian" last="Imegwu"], 6’8 PF Blair Academy</strong></p>
<p>Imegwu transferred to Blair in the offseason where his versatile skillset should be displayed right away. The 6’8 forward can handle the ball on the perimeter and is able to beat his man off the bounce. Imegwu has a nice release on his shot and his range extends past the three-point line. He is one of the top shot-blockers in the class and is a solid rebounder. Imegwu is a skilled stretch-four who should have a good debut season for Blair Academy.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1013095" first="Jayden" last="Holmes Cotter"], 6’5 PF Freehold Township</strong></p>
<p>Holmes Cotter may be an undersized post player, but he still makes an impact down low. The 6’5 power forward uses his strong frame to create space for himself in the paint and finish through contact. Holmes Cotter has a nice touch around the basket and is capable of knocking down mid-range jumpers. He is a force on the glass and knows how to move his feet on the defensive end. Holmes Cotter is a rugged forward prospect who is ready for a big sophomore season for the Patriots.</p>
