The 2022 rankings for North Carolina have been updated following the summer season. Here’s a look at the Top 10 Power Forward Prospects in the rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id="848059" first="DeAnte" last="Green"] | 6’10 | The Christ School

Green is a versatile frontcourt prospect at 6-foot-10 that can operate inside and out, making him a matchup nightmare in the rotation. He can score it with authority around the rim, shoot on all three levels and continues to develop as a double-double machine in the making. He’s narrowed down his schools to a Top 10 of UNC, Kansas, Louisville, NC State, Baylor, Florida State, Georgia, Tennessee, Gonzaga and Wake Forest.

[player_tooltip player_id="848066" first="Brandon" last="White"] | 6’10 | Winston-Salem Christian

White is another prospect in the 2022 class with tons of potential at 6-foot-10. He’s already a natural shot-blocker and rebounder, making him a force on the defensive end. Offensively, he can run the floor and operate in the pick-and-roll game and continues to grow as a shooter outside the paint. Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, South Florida, East Carolina and Western Kentucky have offered him.

[player_tooltip player_id="577850" first="Jeremy" last="Gregory"] | 6’8 | North Mecklenburg

Gregory is a prospect that stays true to himself as a back-to-the-basket threat in the post. He’s a double-double machine due for a big junior season after putting up solid numbers for the 4A Co-State champions that went undefeated in 2019-20. He’ll be a problem in the rotation alongside Davidson bound forward [player_tooltip player_id="574411" first="Chris" last="Ford"]. He holds offers from Mercer, South Florida, Charlotte and Appalachian State.

[player_tooltip player_id="574441" first="Jai" last="Smith"] | 6’9 | Bull City Prep

Smith is a new face in the HoopState but he’s grown quite a bit on the recruiting scene since joining Tea Marie Hoops on the grassroots scene. He’s a versatile prospect that can handle like a guard but battle in the post nonetheless without much drop off. He makes plays for himself and others with ease and rebounds and blocks shots around the rim relentlessly. He holds over 25 offers with recent ones from NC State, St. John’s and Marquette.

[player_tooltip player_id="577884" first="Corneilous" last="Williams"] | 6’10 | Moravian Prep

Williams is another new face in the state from Mississippi where he produced 15 ppg and 16 rpg. He’s an emerging rim protector and rim runner that likes to fly around for blocks and dunks, showcasing his length and athleticism while doing so. He can also show off some range in the mid-range area and is improving his all-around game in that regard. Houston, Tulsa, George Washington, among other mid-major programs have offered.

[player_tooltip player_id="577868" first="Derrick" last="Nix"] | 6’6 | Cannon School

Nix is more of a small forward than a power forward, as far as his height goes, but his ability to use his body in the post and stretch defenders of bigger size is an asset that makes him a versatile threat in the post and on the wing. He was a pivotal piece in Cannon’s run to a NCISAA State crown in 2019-20 and will play a role once again in 2020-21. He holds offers from Houston Baptist, Boston College, College of Charleston, Washington State and Wichita State.

[player_tooltip player_id="574457" first="Nathan" last="Brafford"] | 6’8 | Rabun Gap

Brafford will be a new face in the Rabun Gap rotation after reclassing into the 2022 class following a successful year at Tuscola. He put up 33.9 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 2.0 apg and 2.0 bpg in the rotation for his squad, showing off his ability to fill up the scoresheet in a variety of ways. He shot 39 percent (76-of-193) from 3-point range and 53 percent from the field to lead his squad. Western Carolina, Stetson and North Florida have offered.

[player_tooltip player_id="577885" first="Asa" last="White"] | 6’8 | Garner Magnet

White is due for a breakout junior season after a productive season in the Garner Magnet rotation in 2019-20. He was a solid presence in the paint on both ends that excels as a rim-runner and rebounder on both ends. He’s due for a bigger role in the rotation in 2020-21 with the departure of some key seniors.

[player_tooltip player_id="848077" first="Karon" last="Boyd"] | 6’6 | Cannon School

Boyd will be a new name in Cannon School’s rotation to keep an eye on after playing a role in a Cox Mill rotation in 2019-20 that went 25-4. He put up 9.7 ppg, 8.0 rpg and 1.8 spg in the rotation for the Chargers this past season and is due to make waves with a bigger role on the horizon for him.

[player_tooltip player_id="577883" first="Mayar" last="Wol"] | 6’8 | Fuquay-Varina

Wol is due to raise his stock in 2020-21 at Fuquay-Varina entering his junior season. He’s had a productive grassroots season that’s shown his growth getting to the rim and finishing with authority while also showing off his ability to create off the bounce on the perimeter. He’s drawn some interest already from some college programs and should start drawing in offers in no time.
