2022: Sleeper Prospects (Summer Edition), Pt III
<p>There’s a ton of talent in the 2022 North Carolina rankings to keep track of. Here’s a look at Part III of the Sleeper Prospects.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="577831" first="Christian" last="Battle"] | 6’1 Guard | Wilson Prep</strong></p>
<p>Battle will be a new name in the Wilson Prep rotation set to run the show at the point guard position, something that was a huge need in 2019-20 for this squad. He’s relatively unknown right now but given his ability to make his presence felt on both ends, it won’t be long for him with [player_tooltip player_id="932063" first="Nasiar" last="Blackston"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1013512" first="Eric" last="Wynn"] in the rotation to distribute to.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="577883" first="Mayar" last="Wol"] | 6’8 Forward | Fuquay-Varina</strong></p>
<p>Wol came on late in the 2019-20 season as a major threat on both ends given his size and versatility at 6-foot-8. As his confidence has grown, so has his game, getting out on the break and finishing with authority at the rim while still showing off his ability to shoot the ball. He’ll be a sleeper in at Fuquay-Varina in 2020-21.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="848085" first="Amare" last="Miller"] | 6’6 Forward | Greensboro Day</strong></p>
<p>Miller was a pivotal piece in Piedmont Classical’s rotation in 2019-20, averaging 11.4 ppg, 5.8 rpg and 1.2 bpg as a starter in the frontcourt. Look for his game to grow even more as a threat on all three levels. He’s mobile enough to operate on the perimeter and is an effective defender around the rim.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1008880" first="Jayquan" last="Curry"] | 5’8 Guard | Wayne Christian</strong></p>
<p>Colleges in need of a quick-start guard, look no further than [player_tooltip player_id="1008880" first="Jayquan" last="Curry"]. Curry is on track to surpass 1,000 points already with his junior year approaching. He’s amassed 662 points already after putting up 28.2 ppg during his sophomore season, leading his squad on offense and as their leader on the defensive end as well.</p>
