Big Shots Virginia Fall Hoopfest brought some much needed hoops to the Hampton area. Here's a look at the standouts from the 17U division.

[player_tooltip player_id="798688" first="Jaylani" last="Darden"] | 6’3 Guard/Wing | Boo Williams

Darden showed off his ability to attack the rim and space the floor with his shooting on the perimeter this past weekend. He finished with 13 points against Life Christian while showing off his three-level game and his ability to get to the paint and draw fouls. He’s got offers from Hampton, Norfolk State, VCU, Tenn. Tech and Oral Roberts.

[player_tooltip player_id="815585" first="Efrem" last="Johnson"] | 6’2 Guard/Wing | Boo Williams (2022)

Johnson is an athletic slasher that can get out on the break and finish at the rim but also isn't hesitant about creating off the bounce. He showed off his ability to score on all three levels this past weekend at Big Shots Virginia Fall Hoopfest despite playing up an age division. He knocked down six 3-pointers while averaging 19.5 ppg to lead the way for Boo Williams' main squad. There's a reason he holds offers from Old Dominion, Bryant and Norfolk State.

[player_tooltip player_id="798698" first="Quentin" last="Livingston"] | 6’5 Wing/Forward | Boo Williams

Livingston is a high-level two-way prospect due for a boost in his recruitment soon given his energy and effort when he's on the floor. He sets a tone with the way he defends on the perimeter and can guard prospects in the post equally as well given his strength and length. He posted 16.0 ppg while knocking down three 3-pointers at Sunday's event. He'll be one to watch in the 2021 class with offers from Hampton, Norfolk State, North Carolina A&T and Mount Olive.

[player_tooltip player_id="697140" first="Jacob" last="Cooper"] | 5’10 Guard | Big Shots Select Green Run

Cooper didn't show any signs of slowing down after winning the 5A State Player of the Year this past season, finishing third in points per game (21.5) while leading the 17U division in free throws made with 15. He's a crafty scoring guard that can get to the paint and wreak havoc on the offensive end, something he did easily this past Sunday. Keep an eye on him to lead the way this upcoming season as Green Run looks to repeat as state champs. He holds offers from Virginia Union, Mount Olive, Chowan, WV Wesleyan and Southern Wesleyan.

[player_tooltip player_id="798748" first="Zach" last="Rosenthal"]l | 6’0 Shooting Guard | Big Shots Elite West Virginia

Rosenthall is a familiar face on the Big Shots stage given his prowess for shooting the ball all over the floor, something he displayed at Big Shots Virginia Fall Hoopfest. He finished second in division in 3-pointers made (7) across two victories for Big Shots Elite West Virginia while putting up 19.5 ppg. He led the way with 25 points on five made 3-pointers in their opening victory against Tough Buckets. He's a sharpshooter to watch in Virginia's 2021 class.
