The updated 2022 rankings are finally here with over 80 new names on the list. The class is filled with big-time talent and the newcomers are no exception to that. These prospects have the ability to make an immediate impact at the next level and should have strong junior campaigns this season. Here are the top newcomers to the 2022 class.

[player_tooltip player_id="990936" first="Quadir" last="Copeland"], 6’5 SF Life Center Academy

Copeland is a talented point wing prospect who should have a standout debut season for Life Center. The Gettysburg transfer has a good handle and uses his 6’5 frame to see over the defense. Copeland knows how to attack the basket down hill and can finish over the top of defenders. He is a good passer and does not seem to get flustered when under pressure. Copeland’s ability to make plays with the basketball should make the Warriors a team to watch in South Jersey.

[player_tooltip player_id="991214" first="Aaron" last="Clark"], 6’5 CG St. Benedict’s

Clark may be flying a bit under the radar nationally, but he is ready to burst onto the scene with the Grey Bees. The Easton transfer is extremely crafty with the ball in his hands and is tough to keep out of the lane. Clark knows how to beat his defender off the bounce and is a nifty finisher around the basket. He has a sweet lefty shooting stroke and is one of the top passers in New Jersey. Clark’s ability to run the offense makes him a player to watch all season for St. Benedict’s.

[player_tooltip player_id="1045718" first="Isaiah" last="Earl"], 6’8 SF St. Benedict’s

Another St. Benedict’s prospect, Earl is slated to have a strong season for the Grey Bees. The Lee Academy transfer knows how to attack the basket from the perimeter and can finish above the rim. Earl has a nice touch around the basket and is an underrated passer. He uses his 7’1 wingspan to block shots and skies for rebounds. Earl is a skilled wing prospect who should pair nicely with 2021 prospects [player_tooltip player_id="900302" first="Zaba" last="Bangala"] and [player_tooltip player_id="977499" first="Sam" last="Alajiki"].

[player_tooltip player_id="1025905" first="Jamarques" last="Lawrence"], 6’2 PG Roselle Catholic

Lawrence had a strong sophomore campaign and is looking to build upon it at Roselle Catholic. The 6’2 guard is capable of getting hot from deep in a hurry and is not afraid of pulling up in transition. Lawrence is more than just a shooter as he can blow by his defender off the bounce and finish around the basket. He is a solid passer and is an underrated defender. Lawrence will have to curb some of his scoring habits at Roselle Catholic, but his ability to knock down triples makes him a good addition to a loaded backcourt.

[player_tooltip player_id="1013041" first="David" last="Luberoff"], 6’8 PF Midland Park

Luberoff had a big summer for the NJ Beasts 16U team and it should translate to Midland Park. The 6’8 forward has a nice touch around the basket and is unafraid of finishing through contact. Luberoff can also step away from the basket and knock down three-pointers. He is a strong rebounder down low and plays with good positioning in the paint to block shots. Luberoff is a tough stretch four who should put up huge numbers for Midland Park this season.
