The 2022 class is filled with big-time talent, especially in the backcourt. [player_tooltip player_id="850662" first="Will" last="Richardson"], [player_tooltip player_id="787669" first="Corey" last="Floyd Jr"]. and [player_tooltip player_id="850664" first="Mark" last="Armstrong"] lead the way, but there is also a good crop of post players in the class. Blair Academy’s [player_tooltip player_id="850680" first="Lual" last="Manyang"] leads the way, but he is not the only talented big man in the class. The added big men in the new rankings are capable of making a big impact at the next level. Here are the top newly ranked big men in the 2022 rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id="1013041" first="David" last="Luberoff"], 6’8 PF Midland Park

Luberoff had a breakout summer for the NJ Beasts 16U team and his success should translate into the 2020-21 campaign. The 6’8 forward does not mind mixing it up down low and knows how to finish through contact. Luberoff also has a good release on his shot and his range extends past the three-point line. He fights for rebounds down low and is one of the top shot-blockers in the class. Luberoff is a tough stretch-four prospect who should be one of the big men in North Jersey this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1013045" first="Drew" last="Kania"], 6’7 PF Gill St. Bernard’s

The Knights have to replace Princeton commit [player_tooltip player_id="850327" first="Zach" last="Martini"] down low and Kania looks to be the guy. The 6’7 forward has a nice touch around the basket and knows how to draw contact. Kania is more than just a back to the basket big as he can also knock down jumpers. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and is an underrated defender. Kania will get more touches on the offensive end for Gill St. Bernard’s, which should lead to a big junior campaign.

[player_tooltip player_id="1013052" first="Logan" last="Howland"], 6’8 PF Westfield

Howland had a strong summer for the Unity Legends 16U team and is ready for a big season for the Blue Devils. The 6’8 forward has a strong frame, which he uses to muscle shots through contact. Howland can also face-up and take his defender off the bounce. He gobbles up rebounds down low and talks on the defensive end. Howland is a skilled big man who is ready to lead Westfield in 2020-21.

[player_tooltip player_id="1018572" first="Sean" last="Logan"], 6’9 PF Westfield

Howland is not the only talented Westfield big in the 2022 class as Logan has an extremely high ceiling. The lanky 6’9 forward is a big time shot-blocker and knows how to move his feet on defense. Logan has the ability to knock down perimeter jumpers and has a good handle for a big guy. He is working on his post game and has a nice touch around the basket. Logan is a talented post player who along with Howland gives Westfield a deadly 2022 interior duo.

[player_tooltip player_id="904675" first="Dut" last="Kuol"], 6’10 C Olympus Prep

Kuol transferred into Olympus Prep from Maryland and is ready to have a strong debut season in the Garden State. The 6’10 big man is a good athlete who loves to finish above the rim. Kuol uses his length and athleticism to swat shots around the basket and sky for rebounds. He has a nice touch around the basket and is working on his footwork down low. Kuol is an athletic big man prospect who should help the Olympus Prep team this season.
