The Grassroots Circuit season is coming to a end for some programs. Prep Hoops didn’t have far to travel this weekend with the Big Shots Myrtle Beach Jam just up the road.

[player_tooltip player_id="927557" first="Mike" last="Herrin"] - Socastee HS - Manzer (pictured on the front)

Herrin continued his solid play again this weekend for the local based team from the Grand Strand. Herrin a left-handed guard was able to knockdown shots on the perimeter along with the ability to finish at the basket. Herrin has really had a great summer with his play and continues to get better. Herrin will be back with the Braves again this season to provide senior leadership on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="976946" first="Corbin" last="Pack"] - Carolina Forest HS (Myrtle Beach) - CF Elite 2021

Pack came out on fire this weekend with some big games for the CF Elite 2021 squad. Pack a good size shooting guard feels very comfortable knocking down shots from behind the arc. Pack moves very well away from the ball to get open looks on the floor. Pack has a quick shot release and shoots the ball at a high percentage clip.

[player_tooltip player_id="747006" first="Javi" last="Marlowe"] - North Myrtle Beach HS - Manzer

Marlowe just like Herrin have had great summers for the Manzer squad and Head Coach Jared Caudill. Marlowe just does all the little things to help you win games. Marlowe was work on his perimeter skills for the next level. Marlowe isn’t afraid to dive on the floor, bleachers, block a shot, get a rebound on both ends, take a charge or just make a extra pass to a teammate. Herrin and Marlowe both have been solid stock risers this summer with their play and hopefully see their recruitment pickup in the next few months.

Marlowe averaged 11.2 ppg, 4.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.7 steals last season for the Chiefs while making 2nd Team All-Region.

[player_tooltip player_id="927536" first="Victor" last="Otubu"] - Waccamaw HS (Pawleys Island) - Manzer

Otubu does his job so well in the paint in drawing contact and getting put-backs on the glass. Otubu has a great look to him and will play football starting this week for the Warriors. Otubu is a mover-screener on the floor and thrives on contact. Otubu would like to entertain a option in the military.

[player_tooltip player_id="747030" first="Jeremiah" last="Nesbitt"] - St James HS (Murrells Inlet) - Manzer

Nesbitt looks to be playing football this coming season for the Sharks. Nesbitt just brings a quiet game to the floor every time he plays. Nesbitt won’t overwhelm you with a ton of numbers but at the end of the day he is a stat sheet stuffer. Nesbitt plays the game at a great pace and demeanor.

Nesbitt averaged 13.3 ppg last season for the Sharks (14-12) in the Class 5A ranks.

[player_tooltip player_id="927511" first="Jaylin" last="McClurkin"] a former player at Chester HS has transferred to North Mecklenburg HS (NC) for this year. McClurkin played this weekend with the Prime Time Elite here at the Big Shots Myrtle Beach Jam. McClurkin informed Prep Hoops of the move to the Hoop State.

McClurkin a slender forward actually started his high school career at Carolina Forest HS (Freshman year) before playing at Chester HS the past 2 seasons.
