Here are some of the top 15U Kansas wings from The Finale (in alphabetical order and with club and high school listed):
Wyatt Conklin, SSA Black 15U, Washburn Rural:
The 6-foot-2 Conklin is solidly built and a versatile athlete. He is adept in the lane, particularly as a strong rebounder. He can drive the lane and kick out or score over traffic and on the run. But his 3-point shooting is what is particularly intriguing. He has deep range and confidence. Defensively, he is hard-nosed, drawing charges and bodying up opponents.
Mason Gomez, Kansas 94×50 Elite 15U, Topeka West:
A shooter with range similar to Conklin, the 6-foot-2 Gomez is also a talented ball handler who can grab a rebound and take it end to end. He has the diversity to impact a game in a variety of ways. Gomez may be advanced enough to see the floor for the talented Chargers in the fall. One thing Topeka West could really use is more proficient 3-point shooting.
Tre Morris, Kansas 94×50 Elite 15U, Washburn Rural:
A smooth athlete who excels in the open court, the 6-foot-1 wing is a solid ball handler who can shoot a pull-up jumper from clear out to the 3-point arc. He is adept at slicing through the lane to catch and score, as well and driving the lane with ball. On defense, he is a sneaky ball hawk.
Zach Sand, Team KC – Kerr 15U, Blue Valley North:
Sand is a lanky 6-foot-2 athlete who brings a variety of skills. He can drive and drop the ball to a waiting post man or perimeter shooter, or he can finish a drive with a variety of shots. He is a smooth driver with the ball both end to end and through the lane. Long range is a part of his arsenal as well.
Bryson Perez, TTB KS – Perez 15U, Wichita Trinity:
At 6-foot-4, Perez is a matchup problem. He’s a long, athletic wing with versatility. But his long-distance shooting is what makes him particularly dangerous. He can run and defend with his long arms and quick feet, and he’s not afraid to handle the ball against pressure.
