We covered Minnesota live, but don’t fear Illinois teams that were in Kansas City we got you covered too! All this week we are rolling out our Film Room evaluations from the event! Here is The Finale Film Room: Illinois Bears 15U!
Grant Fridley Grant Fridley 6'1" | PG Wesclin | 2023 State IL (Wesclin – 2023)
This Wesclin 6’1” point guard is an intriguing prospect. Has a fluid offensive skill set with a feel for the game. Excellent passer making several sound reads in the game we saw. Slick ball handler going coast to coast in transition. Can put it on the deck in the half court as well winning off the dribble for scores. Hit a tough step back three.
Cade Altadonna Cade Altadonna 6'0" | PG Highland | 2023 State IL (Highland – 2022)
Altadonna didn’t have his best game, but the Highland guard remains one of the better scoring guards in the 618 in 2023. The 6’0” lefty has a strong body. His most impactful play in this game actually came on the defensive end moving his feet and keeping his man out of the lane.
Garrett Wolfe (Effingham – 2023)
Another Wolfe brother from Effingham! This 5’11” point guard is a crisp ball handler has a nice looking pull up game off the bounce. Tough kid that is productive!
Carter Schoenherr (Nashville – 2023)
Liked the projectability here. At 6’2” he has good length and can handle in the open floor. Also connected on a three ball.
Kade Lustenberger (Carterville – 2023)
Lustenberger is a mobile four man at 6’4” that scored with a pair of mid-range jumpers, right handed hook shot, and a fade away out of the post.
Cole Peppenhorst (Breese Mater Dei – 2023)
Another 6’4” four man. This one comes from Breese Mater Dei. Runs the floor with ease getting buckets in the open floor. Shows athleticism and mobility in the paint. Got on the offensive glass for a couple put backs.
