Rocco Paul | Shooting Guard | Court of Dreams | 2022 |Rocco Paul brought the defense to this tournament, his defensive presence really stood out with the way he was able to put the clamps on his opponent’s best playmaker, keeping him away from the basket, and stopping him from getting himself or his teammates going. His man began to call for screens, but Rocco fought over them. Paul was locked-in to his man, he kept his eyes focused in on the chest of his assignment and denied every move they made. He displayed excellent footwork on the defensive end with the way he stayed in front of his man and kept him from getting to his sweet spots, eventually frustrating and forcing his man to take deep mid-range jumpers and contested three-point shots. Rocco Paul is a player that impresses me every single time I watch him play, this weekend he showed and proved that he’s not just a scorer or just a shooter, but actually a complete two-way basketball player.

Jackson has a phenomenal jumpshot, that is near-automatic. Avery was on fire Saturday night, scoring 17 points in a single half, everything he put up went in, even when being fouled on his on a drive or jumpshot the ball still went in. [player_tooltip player_id="1009441" first="Avery" last="Jackson"] showed a lot of promise, the ceiling for this kid is high, a recruit to keep track of going into this year’s high school season.

Has an impressive soft touch on his jumpshots from both inside the arc and from deep. Jaylen Reed is a player you must account for, you cannot give him even the slightest bit of space or allow him to get off a clean look without having a hand in his face or he will make you pay.

Hooper has such a pure jumpshot, the ball comes off his hands so smooth and effortlessly every time. [player_tooltip player_id="787338" first="B.J." last="Hooper"]’s best ability is his consistency on both ends of the floor, you always know what he’s going to give you, but the way he gets it done is always a surprise.

Clater played with great chemistry and his game fits perfectly with his teammates, knowing just how to set one another up with easy scoring opportunities.
