The NBA has done an excellent job keeping players safe, while still keeping the games and season going. The Bubble in the NBA has allowed the season to successfully carry on. What if Michigan high school basketball had a bubble? What players would we want to make sure to see play in our bubble? Here’s a look at players from the class of 2022 that we’d want to make sure are in the Michigan Bubble.
See our class of 2021 Players In The Bubble below:
Players In The Bubble – 2021
Emoni Bates (SF, Ypsi Prep)
Bates is the unanimous number 1 ranked prospect in the country regardless of class. With Bates, the Michigan Bubble is probzably the most followed nationwide.
Max Burton Max Burton 6'10" | SF Williamston | 2022 State MI (SF, Williamston)
Burton is a rising wing prospect. His height, length, and great footwork make him an intriguing player.
Carson Cooper Carson Cooper 6'10" | PF IMG | 2022 State FL (PF, Jackson Northwest)
Cooper has one of the highest ceilings for a post player in the class. Scouts, fans, and coaches will all want to see him square up in the bubble,
Ethan Dunn Ethan Dunn 6'10" | C Elevation Prep | 2022 IN (C, East Lansing)
Don’t let Dunn sneak by you! He is a true center, but posses soft hands and good feet in the paint.
Cooper Fairman Cooper Fairman 6'3" | SF Saline | 2022 State MI (G/F, Saline)
Fairman missed last season with an injury, but don’t forget how good he was playing prior to that. He had an extremely successful summer and fall, and I believe, is ready for a big comeback.
Kyle Germany Kyle Germany 6'2" | SG Western International | 2022 State MI (SG, Dearborn ATA)
Germany has been gaining some attention as of late, and deservedly so. He’s an athletic 2 that can score within the offense or create on his own.
JaVaughn Hannah JaVaughn Hannah 6'4" | SG Orchard Lake St. Mary's | 2022 State #221 Nation MI (SG, Ypsi Prep)
Hannah is ranked 3rd in Michigan’s class of 2022. There won’t be many, if any, number 3’s that are more talented. This scorer at heart would help keep national attention on our bubble.
Peyton LaCombe Peyton LaCombe 6'8" | PF Ludington | 2022 State MI (PF, Ludington)
LaCombe has really shown some upside lately. We’d defenitely want him in the bubble so we could see him compete against the best night in and night out.
Orlando Lovejoy Orlando Lovejoy 6'3" | CG 1 of 1 Prep | 2022 State NC (PG, Summit Academy)
Lovejoy is a spark plug with the ball in his hands. He can break a defender down and create. Lovejoy would bring flash and flare to the bubble.
Ty Rodgers Ty Rodgers 6'6" | SF Grand Blanc | 2022 #34 Nation IN (SF, Grand Blanc)
Rodgers is an elite wing prospect on a national scale. He plays above the rim and finishes with force. The day that he squares off with Bates…..the entire country would tune in.
DeCorian Temple DeCorian Temple 6'7" | PF Orchard Lake St. Mary's | 2022 State MI (PF, Ypsilanti-Lincoln)
I was very impressed with Temple throughout the high school season. He’s a powerful 4 that can pull down double figure rebounds on any given night.
Brady Titus Brady Titus 5'10" | PG Tri-Unity Christian | 2022 State MI (PG, Tri-Unity Christian)
Titus would deserve to be seen in the Michigan Bubble. I have no doubt that with his ball skills and leadership abilities, he could match up with any point guard in the state.
Kyler Vanderjagt Kyler Vanderjagt 6'4" | 195 lbs | SF Northview | 2022 State MI (SG, Northview)
Vanderjagt was built for college basketball. His strength, work ethic, and demeanor are helping him to cement himself as a solid D1 prospect.
Derrick Voltz Derrick Voltz 6'4" | CG Carrollton | 2022 State MI (CG, Carrollton)
If you haven’t seen Voltz play – TUNE IN! He’s a firecracker on offense that can score from anywhere and in any way.
Tony Williams Tony Williams 5'6" | PG Parchment | 2022 State MI (PG, Parchment)
I’ve been high on Tony Williams Tony Williams 5'6" | PG Parchment | 2022 State MI for a while now. He’s a diverse floor leader that can play score first or pass first.
