Yesterday, the discussion was about the new players entering Non-Public B. Today, the talk turns to under the radar players in Non-Public A. Big-time players like [player_tooltip player_id="850662" first="Will" last="Richardson"], [player_tooltip player_id="850664" first="Mark" last="Armstrong"], [player_tooltip player_id="900353" first="Isaiah" last="Hill"] and [player_tooltip player_id="900295" first="Matthew" last="Delaney"] call Non-Public A home, but they are not the only talented players in Non-Public A. Here are the top under the radar players in Non-Public A.

[player_tooltip player_id="900307" first="Gavin" last="O’Farrell"], 6’6 PF St. Peter’s Prep 2021

The Marauders have one of the top backcourts in New Jersey in Armstrong and [player_tooltip player_id="900328" first="Rayshawn" last="Ford"], but they also have a good forward prospect in O’Farrell. The 6’6 forward plays with a nonstop motor on both ends of the floor and is first on the floor for loose balls. O’Farrell is a solid rebounder and plays with good positioning on defense. He has a nice touch around the basket and sets good screens. O’Farrell is a tough forward who should help St. Peter’s Prep compete for a sectional title.

[player_tooltip player_id="1013044" first="Adam" last="Silas"], 6’2 CG St. Thomas Aquinas 2022

The Trojans are slated to repeat as GMC Tournament champions, but they need to replace Third Team All-State performer [player_tooltip player_id="850329" first="Quadry" last="Adams"]. Marist transfer Silas looks to be the man for the job and is looking to fit in seamlessly with [player_tooltip player_id="787644" first="Jaquan" last="Harris"]. The 6’2 guard attacks the basket with a purpose and knows how to finish through contact. Silas is a solid passer and plays good on-ball defense. St. Thomas Aquinas is filled with talented guards in [player_tooltip player_id="900317" first="Kyree" last="Henry"], [player_tooltip player_id="901967" first="Jonathon" last="Wyatt"] and Harris, but Silas’ ability to play on both ends of the floor makes him a guy to watch in the GMC.

[player_tooltip player_id="1013002" first="Xavier" last="Ernest"], 6’3 SG St. Augustine 2021

The Hermits took home the Non-Public A South last season, but they have to replace Elmarko Jackson in the backcourt. Ernest came off the bench in 2019-20 and is ready for a larger role in the offense. The 6’3 lefty plays hard on both ends of the floor and knows how to attack the basket. Ernest is a tough defender and has shown the ability to knock down shots from the perimeter. His ability to play on both ends makes Ernest a breakout candidate for St. Augustine in 2020-21.

[player_tooltip player_id="900324" first="Jaylen" last="Boyd-Savage"], 6’3 CG Paul VI 2021

NJIT commit [player_tooltip player_id="850529" first="Wisler" last="Sanon"] and 6’9 post [player_tooltip player_id="900357" first="Nicolo" last="Nobili"] are the main cogs in the Eagles’ offense, but Boyd-Savage is also a capable scoring option. The 6’3 guard is at his best attacking the basket and knows how to finish through contact. Boyd-Savage has a good handle and makes plays off the bounce. He is a good on-ball defender and can grab rebounds outside of his area. Boyd-Savage, Sanon and Nobili are a talented trio capable of leading Paul VI to a South Jersey Non-Public A title.

[player_tooltip player_id="850518" first="Jacob" last="Barry"], 6’7 SF/PF Bergen Catholic 2021

The Crusaders won their second straight Non-Public A North title, but they have to replace Notre Dame commit [player_tooltip player_id="850320" first="Matt" last="Zona"]. [player_tooltip player_id="900290" first="DiAri" last="Duncan"] will get more looks in the paint, but Barry is capable of a big senior season. The 6’7 forward has a strong frame capable of finishing around the basket. Barry has a nice handle and is an underrated rebounder. Bergen Catholic has a strong core of guards in Richardson, [player_tooltip player_id="850683" first="Julian" last="Brown"], [player_tooltip player_id="901960" first="Elijah" last="Flournoy"] and Elliott Cadeau, but Barry is the X-Factor for the Crusaders in 2020-21.

Other Players to Know:

Ayjoni Rasbury, 6’2 CG Dwight-Englewood 2022

[player_tooltip player_id="1013011" first="Kody" last="Robinson"], 6’3 SG St. Joe’s Metuchen 2021

[player_tooltip player_id="1018569" first="Derek" last="Lagios"], 5’10 PG Delbarton 2022

[player_tooltip player_id="1013054" first="Tommy" last="Conniff"], 6’9 PF/C Oratory Prep 2022
