Malik Olafioye Malik Olafioye 6'2" | PG Ecorse | 2023 State #149 Nation MI (PG, Ecorse)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #2
Olafioye is so nasty with the ball that we might be watching him floor defenders on TV someday. He can crossover anyone at the high school level and his start stop speed leaves players grasping at air.
Prince Jackson Prince Jackson 6'0" | PG North Farmington | 2023 State MI (PG, Farmington)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #7
Jackson is a little sneaky with the rock. He lulls you to sleep, then all of a sudden has you behind his hip. Jackson uses his ball handling to draw defenders and dish to an open teammate.
John Blackwell John Blackwell 6'3" | CG Brother Rice | 2023 State #185 Nation MI (SG, Brother Rice)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #13
Blackwell is mostly been a 2 guard, but is nasty enough with his handles that he could transition to the point. Either way, he’ll leave a defender in the duat.
Chuck Bailey (PG, Birmingham Groves)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #14
Bailey is a premier point guard in the class of 2023, and his ball handling is a big reason why. He’s not just explosive with the ball, but stays steady and keeps his turnovers low while still playing with flare.
Amari Allen Amari Allen 6'2" | PG Hamtramck | 2023 State MI (SG, Hamtramck)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #29
Allen is a fast dribbler. Every bounce has a purpose and the ball doesn’t stay on his hand long. Allen takes the ball, and attacks the defense going downhill.
Caleb Renfroe Caleb Renfroe 6'2" | SG Ferndale | 2023 State MI (SG, Ferndale)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #39
Renfroe can use the dribble to create shot opportunities. He can create space for a jumper or finish at the rim when isolated. Renfroe has a lot of upside with his handles.
Brian Hunter Brian Hunter 5'6" | PG Roseville | 2023 State MI (PG, Roseville)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #79
Hunter is smaller, but his speed with the dribble evens the playing field. He can quite simply beat a defender to a spot when he has the ball. Hunter can move laterally with the ball as quick as anyone.
