[player_tooltip player_id="682281" first="Adam" last="Mattes"] - Newton

Newton’s leading scorer a year ago was [player_tooltip player_id="682281" first="Adam" last="Mattes"], as the Class of 2022 prospect posted just over 15 points per game on almost 45 percent shooting from the floor. He was also consistent at the free throw line, knocking down 72 percent of his attempts.

Mattes also led his team with 53 assists, adding 67 rebounds and 23 steals. He sank 18 three-pointers and should see that number rise after shooting just 24 percent from deep.

Keaton Flaherty - Oskaloosa

With [player_tooltip player_id="530026" first="Xavier" last="Foster"] gone, Oskaloosa will look to those returning to replace his 375 points and 155 rebounds. Class of 2022’s Keaton Flaherty could be a part of that group.

Flaherty started 15 games and played in all 24 last year, scoring 189 points with 88 rebounds, 65 assists and 22 steals. He shot over 47 percent from the field and made 27 three-pointers.

[player_tooltip player_id="962617" first="Noah" last="Allen"] - Newton

Another piece of the puzzle for Newton in 2020-21 will be [player_tooltip player_id="962617" first="Noah" last="Allen"].

A starter last year, Allen scored 285 points with 42 rebounds, 31 assists and 14 steals. He led the team with 56 made three-pointers, shooting almost 39 percent from the floor and over 36 percent from deep.

Allen was also strong at the free throw line, going 36 for 42 on the year.

[player_tooltip player_id="784990" first="Parker" last="Elder"] - Pella

It was a solid sophomore season for Pella’s [player_tooltip player_id="784990" first="Parker" last="Elder"].

Elder scored 119 points with 64 rebounds, 18 assists, 12 steals and nine blocks in 21 games. He was part of a unit that helped the Dutch go 19-6 and reach the Class 3A state tournament.

With four of the five regular starters graduating, Elder will be counted on to slide into one of those roles. He shot over 56 percent from the floor last year.
