Taco is a fierce competitor, especially on the defensive end. While he may not be as big or as athletic as his opponents, Shahjahan is smart player and one that never backs down from a challenge. He’s a physical defender that plays with a chip on his shoulder. He was like a gnat as he rarely gave opposing ball handlers any breathing room. Shomik even drew a charge, again showing his willingness to make winning plays and commitment to the defensive end. On offense, he set up his teammates and protected the ball, finishing with 6 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists. He’s leaving Miller Grove for TSF his final season.

He’s not afraid to slash into the lane and use his strength to absorb contact at the rim. His mid-range game is solid and his three-point shot is reliable (25-63; 40%). At LakePoint, he scored in a variety of ways to rack up 22 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. He’s seen some of the best competition in and out of the state over his first three years at Miller Grove and has averaged over 16 points per game since his sophomore season.

Vassell has the agility to slash to the hoop from the perimeter but also the toughness to score around the basket. He had 6 points, 8 rebounds and 1 assist in the low scoring affair. He’s got the tools to have a breakout senior season.
