All in all, it was a productive day in the gym at the I95 Coalition presented by the St. James. Here are five standouts from the evening game sets.

Alpha Bangura Jr. | Team Durant/Westtown (PA) ‘21

If I had to rank the top shot-blockers I saw in the gym today, Bangura would be at or near the top. The hard-working forward showcases good coordination and quick reactions, which helped him block a total of 7 shots in 2 games today.

Tevin Curtis | Warriors Elite/St. Frances (MD) ‘21

Curtis is a smaller guard, but he showed no fear going up against a Durant squad that had a huge size advantage all across the board. The diminutive lead guard plays at a good pace, handles the ball with confidence, and can score from virtually anywhere on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="902029" first="Chace" last="Davis"] | Team Durant/St. Andrew’s (MD) ‘21

Davis put together two strong performances today. He looks bouncier than he has in recent months and it showed on the glass. Davis also shot the ball efficiently all day and got after it on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id="798716" first="Isaiah" last="Simmons"] | Team Richmond/Steward (VA) ‘21

Simmons is the straw that stirs the drink that is Team Richmond. A skilled ball-handler who controls the tempo, he enjoys getting others involved but can certainly get his own as well. Simmons also played with high intensity on defense where he was often seen pressuring his opponent in the backcourt.

[player_tooltip player_id="902013" first="Thomas" last="Whitley"] | District BC/Eleanor Roosevelt (MD) ‘21

Whitley has looked good all spring, and tonight was no exception. The versatile forward from Eleanor Roosevelt is a confident floor spacer who plays with good physicality and is active on the boards.
