As the month changes from July to August, players are looking to get more work in before school starts. Group workouts are good for prospects as it gives them the opportunity to face off against each other. The Fu4ure session was filled with big-time talent that will make an impact at the next level. Here are the top stock risers from the Fu4ure session.

[player_tooltip player_id="902745" first="Maurice" last="Mcknight"], 5’9 PG Roselle Catholic 2023

Mcknight participated in both sessions and had a strong showing in both. The 5’9 guard showed off his good handle and was hard to keep out of the lane. Mcknight is a crafty finisher around the basket as he made numerous different types of layups during the game sessions. He pushed the tempo in transition and made good passes throughout the games. Mcknight is a skilled point guard prospect who should have a strong sophomore campaign for the Lions.

[player_tooltip player_id="900333" first="Rafael" last="Castro"], 6’9 PF Dover 2021

Castro came right before the game sessions started, but that was all he needed to prove his dominance. The 6’9 forward swatted almost everything around the rim as he established himself as one of the top shot-blockers in the Garden State. Castro ran the floor well and finished above the rim. He showed off good footwork down low and has a nice touch around the basket. Castro is a talented big man prospect who has the potential to be one of the top players in the 2021 class.

[player_tooltip player_id="1017200" first="Aaron" last="Davis"], 6’5 SF St. Benedict’s 2023

Davis will suit up for the Grey Bees in 2020-21 and should have an impact for them. The 6’5 forward has a strong frame and knows how to finish around the basket. Davis can handle the ball on the perimeter and beat his defender off the bounce. He can push the ball in transition and played solid post defense on [player_tooltip player_id="992524" first="Aaron" last="Bradshaw"]. [player_tooltip player_id="902735" first="Ty-Laur" last="Johnson"] and Aaron Clark are a solid backcourt duo who should help Davis’ game this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="850512" first="Josh" last="Rivera"], 6’7 SF St.Thomas Aquinas 2021

Rivera dunked almost everything as he proved to be one of the top athletes at the session. The 6’7 forward attacked the basket with authority as he tried to punish defenders for trying to block his dunks. Rivera performed well during the drill sessions as he showed an ability to handle the ball. He knocked down a pair of three-pointers during the game session as well. Rivera is an athletic forward prospect who should have a good year for St. Thomas Aquinas.

[player_tooltip player_id="902756" first="Jadin" last="Collins"], 6’0 PG Roselle Catholic 2023

Mcknight was not the only Roselle Catholic point guard who had a strong showing as Collins played well in both sessions. The 6’0 guard has a good handle and pushed the ball in transition. Collins was hard to keep out of the lane and made several tough finishes around the basket. He made good passes throughout the games and played with quick hands on the defensive end. Collins is a quick guard prospect who should help the Lions contend for their fourth straight Non-Public B North title.

Other Players to Watch:

[player_tooltip player_id="787655" first="Jayden" last="Pierre"], 6’0 PG Elizabeth 2022

[player_tooltip player_id="896672" first="Daron" last="Pierre"], 6’1 PG Olympus Prep 2021

Naasir Cunningham, 6’7 SF Gill St. Bernard’s 2024

Elliott Cadeau, 6’2 CG Bergen Catholic 2024

Chris Ditrolio, 5’9 PG Roxbury 2024

Aaron Clark, 6’5 CG St. Benedict’s 2022
