The Prep Hoops Circuit ran events in July and August. Many of the top prospects and teams from the state of Illinois participated in the events. We begin our month long review of the circuit with our Illinois All-Circuit teams. Check out the 2021 Illinois Prep Hoops Circuit First Team!

Silky smooth combo guard that can play effectively both on and off the ball. Got to the rim with slick drives, hit the deep ball at a solid clip, and was a playmaker with the rock in his hands. Displayed he could beat a team in so many different ways.

Dent was dominant in several big games for the Hoopstars group. The Springfield Southeast shooting guard is among the best pure shot makers in the class and that was on full display! He drilled threes at a very high rate throughout the events he participated in including carrying them in several of those wins. Also came away impressed with his improvement off the bounce scoring on slashes which opens up so much for his team.

[player_tooltip player_id="920983" first="Ashawn" last="Burbridge"] (Illinois T-Wolves)

The undersized four man gets absolutely everything he has out of his ability. What we love about his game is his relentless motor. He lives on the offensive glass getting second chance points at an extremely high rate. Mauled opponents all summer. Also flashed a bit of a face up game and improving skill. High level defender as well.

Rollins is one of the more versatile prospects in the 2021 class. He shined with both Team MORE and Young & Reckless at various events this summer. Long strides allow him to put it on the deck getting to the cup in a hurry! Also was extremely active as a rebounder on both ends of the floor with his quickness. Versatile defender that can check multiple positions both on the perimeter and inside.

[player_tooltip player_id="765212" first="Ismail" last="Habib"] (Illinois Future/Illinois Hoopstars National)

Habib is a dynamic scoring point guard. The smaller and compact guard was on fire with his pull up jump shot all summer long. He has the ability to stop and pop on a dime for a shot as good as anyone we saw on the circuit. Habib did it from both mid-range and three at an extremely high rate including hitting heat check shots that had the crowd buzzing. Also has a burst in the open floor using his speed to get to the rim. Solid passer and all-around playmaker as a scoring point guard.
