Continue ReadingIn an effort to provide new and unique ways to cover prospects, we thought it would be important to give some coverage to those that might not always get it. To do that, we will be digging deep into each conference in the state.
We will be breaking down each conference starting with the Class of 2021 first to show college coaches who they need to be placing a value on heading into the year.
We will continue to go through each conference to try and hit as many players as possible with the hopes of helping these seniors-to-be catch the attention of prospective college coaches.
Cade Pepper Cade Pepper 5'10" | SG MMCRU | 2021 State IA – MMCRU
Despite being the focal point of opposing defenses, MMCRU’s Cade Pepper Cade Pepper 5'10" | SG MMCRU | 2021 State IA found ways to score.
Pepper led the team in scoring at 15 points per game, shooting over 38 percent from the floor, 35.5 percent from behind the three-point line and nearly 77 percent at the free throw stripe.
Also the team leader in assists, Pepper finished with 334 points, 39 dimes, 87 rebounds and 26 steals for the Royals.
Bubba Sohn Bubba Sohn 5'10" | PG Haris-Lake Park | 2021 State IA – Harris-Lake Park
If Bubba Sohn Bubba Sohn 5'10" | PG Haris-Lake Park | 2021 State IA wasn’t scoring buckets himself, he was finding an open Harris-Lake Park teammate for the score.
Sohn finished his junior season with 331 points in 21 games while adding 103 assists. He also tallied 79 rebounds and 44 steals, even blocking eight shots.
The Wolves won 11 games before being knocked out by Class 1A runner-up Bishop Garrigan in a substate semifinal.
Logan Franken – Unity Christian
Unity Christian has quite the 1-2 punch returning, as it starts with Logan Franken.
The Class of 2021 Franken scored 229 points last season with 68 rebounds, 41 assists and 32 steals. He shot over 49 percent from the field with 18 made three-pointers for the Knights.
Bennett Haack – Hartley-HMS
A very young squad last year, Hartley-HMS will put control of the team in the hands of Class of 2021’s Bennett Haack.
Haack scored 141 points with 74 rebounds, 44 assists, 17 steals and seven blocks a season ago, shooting 35 percent from the field with 25 made three-pointers.
Clayton Bosma – Unity Christian
Another piece of the puzzle at Unity Christian returning is Clayton Bosma.
Last season, Bosma produced 169 points on almost 47 percent shooting from the floor. He also had 108 assists to lead the team with 98 rebounds, 48 steals and 10 blocks.
