Player Of The Weekend – C/O 2021

There was a lot of very high quality basketball being played last weekend. And one thing is for sure, Michigan prospects showed themselves extremely well. We have named a Player Of The Weekend and Honorable Mention for the class of 2022 and 2023. Now it's time to look at the class of 2021. <h3>HONORABLE MENTIONS</h3> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="611404" first="Kobe" last="Bufkin"] (2021, CG, Grand Rapids Christian, Storm UA Rise)</strong> Bufkin flat out showed why, in my opinion, he's a top 50 senior prospect in the country. <strong>Devan Boyd (2021, G, Grand Rapids Catholic Central, MBA 17u Adidas)</strong> Boyd is a solid ball handler and scorer that adds a lot to a roster. <strong style="font-size: 1rem;">[player_tooltip player_id="811108" first="Bennie" last="Crenshaw"]  (2021, PG, Waterford Ketting, All Out Elite 17u)</strong> Crenshaw is an explosive point guard that can play pass first or score first, whatever is needed. <strong>Lucas Doty (2021, G, South Lyon, North Oakland Wolfpack 17u)</strong> Doty is a hot name in grassroots basketball right now. He showed a creative scoring ability. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="811115" first="Tariq" last="Humes"] (2021, PG, Farmington, All Out Elite 17u)</strong> Humes showed solid ball skills, hitting a moving man with a pin point pass. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="814614" first="Jesse" last="Lawson"] (2021, CG, Walled Lake Northern, Michigan Cagers 17u) </strong> Lawson showed a quick and smooth release on his jumper and the athleticism to get looks. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="811100" first="Blake" last="Lund"] (2021, CG, Linden, Oakland Elite)</strong> Lund will be a steal for some college coach. There's very few perimeter players as talented as Lund. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="863991" first="Reichen" last="Lund"] (2021, SG, Linden, Oakland Elite)</strong> If you like good old fashioned defensive specialists and glue guys....here's your player. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="814638" first="Cole" last="Pardon"] (2021, G/F, Brandon, North Oakland Wolfpack 17u)</strong> Pardon is making college coaches turn their heads this summer. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="814589" first="Kentrell" last="Pullian"] (2021, CG, Benton Harbor, UTS Elite 17u)</strong> Pullian controls his defender off the bounce. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="611440" first="Trip" last="Riemersma"] (2021, SG, Zeeland East, Storm UA Rise)</strong> Riemersma has developed a complete game and has a high ceiling. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="814573" first="Aidan" last="Rubio"] (2021, G/F, Goodrich, All Out Elite 17u)</strong> Rubio is a rising prospect that has all the tools. <strong>Devan Wilson (2021, PG, Grand Ledge, Michigan Cagers 17u)</strong> Wilson was a consistent scorer and solid ball handler. <strong>Marcus Wourman (2021, PG, East Lansing, Storm UA Rise)</strong> Wourman played downhill with the ball in his hands. <h3>PLAYER OF THE WEEKEND</h3> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="814624" first="Nate" last="Brown"] (2021, CG, Grand Blanc, Team Holder 17u)</strong> Brown has been underrated for far too long. With performances like his this weekend, that won't last long. He averaged 17.8 points per game over the course of 6 games. Brown's squad, Team Holder, lost in the semifinals to the eventual Platinum Champion. College coaches should see [player_tooltip player_id="814624" first="Nate" last="Brown"] ASAP.
