The 5’11 point guard has a good handle and did well in the layup drills as he was able to finish through contact. Johnson is also a good shooter as he has a clean release and made several jumpers over contests in shooting drills. He dominated in the 2-on-2 drills as he won almost every game. Johnson’s ability to score the ball is a good sign for the NJ Panthers U15 squad.

Yathin Vemula, 6’0 South Brunswick 2022

Vemula had a strong session, making the case for being the best kept secret in the GMC. The 6’0 point guard was at his best during the game sessions as he played with poise on the ball and did not force anything. Vemula has a good handle and was able to make shots through contact during the layup drills. He has a good release on his shot and knows how to move off the ball. Vemula is ready to emerge onto the Garden State basketball scene as he looks to play a big role in the backcourt for the NJ Panthers U16 team.
