Caden Grinde Caden Grinde 6'3" | SG Spring Grove | 2021 State MN of Minnesota Rise (6’4, Spring Grove, 2021, SG). Few guys find a way to be reliable each possession like Caden does. We saw the Spring Grove guard hit three triples and score 15 but it was more than that. It was how Grinde stepped up on his defensive line and forced his man to cut away or the ball to find a new direction. It was Grinde pushing the ball, it was Caden cutting off ball so the ball could get to him and then be moved to a new spot. Grinde was a top three scorer and always a contributor.
Hassan Kamara Hassan Kamara 6'4" | SG Columbia Heights | 2022 MN of Howard Pulley 16u (6’4, Osseo, 2022, SF). It’s one thing to holler and be active on defense creating energy, and it’s another to create the energy and then constantly give that energy throughout a game. We saw Kamara give a full game of defensive energy both teams we saw them play including several floor dives that Dennis Rodman would of enjoyed. In addition, he limited his man and grabbed ten boards in one of the games we saw him play.
Joshua Streit Joshua Streit 6'9" | PF Eden Valley Watkins | 2021 State MN of D1 Minnesota (6’8, Eden Valley-Watkins, 2021, PF). D1 Minnesota is a team full of standout offensive players so a guy like Josh – who does whatever his team needs him to do to get the win – isn’t going to take many shots. We watched him take four total in two games. But we also saw Josh snag a dozen boards in two games, and when you look at all the highlights online notice who was setting the screen earlier in the play clearing space. Then on the defensive end a lot of the guys putting up the numbers one way could do that because Streit was giving the defensive effort on top scorers the other way. Denver, Cal Poly, and North Dakota State have each offered scholarships.
Joshua Strong Joshua Strong 6'0" | PG Champlin Park | 2021 State MN of Minnesota Heat Tauer (6’0, Champlin Park, 2021, PG). The Heat won their games and most of the time they did it in the way they have always won games, by applying their pressure as a team and putting the other squad away slowly in time. Strong was such a perfect addition because he allows Ryan Dufault Ryan Dufault 5'11" | PG Waseca | 2021 State MN to play off the ball at times and Strong adds the element of ball pressure defender and another outstanding distributor. We saw Strong record four or more field goals in both games we viewed, and we saw him total five or more assists in both games making sure the size up front can dominate like they have the ability to do.
Cole Tiran Cole Tiran 5'10" | PG Eden Prairie | 2021 State MN of D1 Minnesota Prospects (5’11, Eden Prairie, 2021, PG). First off I’m pretty sure that this was Cole based on the roster I have but the guy had longer hair so I wasn’t 100 percent sure. That said, he played in the defensive battling way that Cole always does with strong position defense forcing players into help defenders and taking away any comfort they have in moving off the ball. Cole also scored four times including a vital three late in the game.
