Patrick Robinson (HIT)
After seeing his season highlight tape on the sophomore level we were excited to see this 6’5” two guard on the circuit. After an impressive opening showing a few weeks back in Wisconsin he went to work again in Indy. Robinson can really win off the bounce with not only his size, but he has crisp handles and good athleticism. Made regular trips to the charity stripe. Pull up jumper is an area that he is good now, but can continue to get even better. Solid passer for an off guard. Should develop into a plus wing defender.
Eric Locke (Illinois Jaguars)
Locke is a high energy 6’5” power forward that does it on both ends of the floor. The lanky four man is quick around the hoop using his length to disrupt things inside and he can switch on the perimeter. Plus athlete that flies in for offensive rebounds and snatches them out of the air like they are his and his alone. Puts it on the deck from the mid-post. We always loved the motor this kid played with and now that he is up to 6’5” we could very well be looking at a scholarship level four man down the line.
Donovan Jones Donovan Jones 6'0" | PG Solorio | 2022 IL (Illinois Hoopstars)
The Solorio guard remains one of the best at his position in the 2022 class. The bowling ball of a combo guard has strength, athleticism, and skill on his size. Not the biggest guard, but he knows how to play the game. More of a scorer right now he uses acrobatic finishes at the cup to convert including reverse layups and and-1s. Bit of a streaky shooter in this game, but did drill a three from the top of the key.
Niel Davis (Old Gold)
Davis is a 6’2” combo guard from Kenwood that made us stand up and take notice over the weekend. Slick ball handler that was slippery through traffic avoiding defenders with euro steps and runners as his finishing moves of choice. Kenwood usually has a new name or two emerge each year and we could see Davis being that guy this year.
Sam Bradbury Sam Bradbury 6'8" | C Mattoon | 2022 State IL (Champaign Heat)
This Mattoon big man put together a complete performance when we saw him Sunday. The 6’8” center is a wide bodied five that takes up a lot of space on the interior. He has been intriguing to us for a while, but put it all together for a complete game this weekend. Offensively he is starting to understand how to use his size against defenders. Made noise sealing his man on the catch for buckets, finishing through them with power, and using a hook shot. Pretty good footwork for such a big guy. Bradbury rebounds extremely well on both ends. Utilizes his big and strong hands to snatch them out of the air in traffic.
