In our Film Room Series we examine prospects from specific teams out of the state of Illinois by watching game tape from the event.
[player_tooltip player_id="920991" first="James" last="Ogrodnik"] (Lincoln Way Central – 2021)

Ogrodnik has seen his stock rise in recent weeks. The 6’9” mobile five man had a bit of a slow start in this game, but then got it going late. He can handle it in the open floor well for his size. Stretches the floor with his shooting knocking down a pair of triples in the second half. Also used a quick move inside for a short jumper and got a tip in. He had the play of the game going baseline and hammering it on his opponent.

Cam Mallory (Lincoln Way East – 2021)

This 6’5” shooting guard has a long and thin frame. Smooth offensive game being able to put it on the deck finishing on straight line drives with athleticism round the hoop. Did hit a pull up three and got out in transition some.

[player_tooltip player_id="771636" first="Andrew" last="Johnson"] (Joliet West – 2021)

Johnson brings some strength on the perimeter at 6’3”. Scored on several occasions taking his man to the post for buckets. Was active defensively getting deflections and steals. Also drilled a baseline jumper off one foot.

[player_tooltip player_id="921004" first="Terrance" last="Moncrief"] (Joliet West – 2021)

This quick and shifty 5’11” point guard runs the show at the point. He pushes in the open floor always having his head up looking to make a play for himself or others. His mid-range shot was on point in this game connecting on several of them. Closed the game out late at the free throw line. Leadership skills.

[player_tooltip player_id="920983" first="Ashawn" last="Burbridge"] (Joliet West – 2021)

Burbridge is an undersized four man at 6’5” that is a high energy player. Brings his motor every single game. Extremely active offensive rebounder that crashes the glass for second chance points. We were impressed with the improvement in his ball handling. Put it on the deck multiple times for baseline takes, reverse layups, and and-1s. Not much of a shooter at this stage. Plus defender that moves well laterally on the perimeter.
