Omaha- The first full day of action in the #HardWorkSZN classic, some new names that I hadn’t seen or talked about before stood out with some good performances. After a long day of hoops out at the UBT Sports Complex, here are some new names for Nebraska high school basketball enthusiasts to know.

[player_tooltip player_id="981708" first="Sam" last="Hastreiter"]- Lincoln Supreme National 16U/Lincoln Pius X

I will just come out and say that [player_tooltip player_id="981708" first="Sam" last="Hastreiter"] is criminally underrated in our site’s 2022 rankings, and deserves a bump soon. Buy his stock now, because it will certainly swing upwards very soon. Sam is an athletic forward, who would make a skilled perimeter player at the next level. He has bounce, as well as a good looking stroke from three-point range. His passing also stood out to me throughout the day. Coaches should be reaching out to him very soon.

[player_tooltip player_id="1035613" first="Devin" last="Wilson"]- Lincoln Supreme National 16U/Omaha Brownell Talbot

A 6’2 guard, [player_tooltip player_id="1035613" first="Devin" last="Wilson"] showcased both his shooting ability and his bounce, which isn’t typical for a guard his size. He about went up for a dunk in Supreme’s second game of the day and that may have brought the house down. He’s definitely a very solid player to keep an eye on.

[player_tooltip player_id="1023539" first="Jack" last="Hastreiter"]- Lincoln Supreme National 16U/Lincoln Pius X

Just like his twin brother Sam, Jack is a solid all-around player with good size. The soon to be junior made shots from all over the place on Saturday and was playing for two teams while doing so due to Supreme having multiple players on all their teams absent for the weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id="890594" first="Quinn" last="Johnson"]- Lincoln Supreme National 16U 2/Loomis

Johnson is a 6’2 guard who can flat out score the basketball. He’s one of the better shooters in the state for sure, and his shooting ability alone will earn him some looks.

[player_tooltip player_id="958186" first="Andrew" last="Heffelfinger"]- Lincoln Supreme National 17U 2/ Waverly

Heffelfinger exploded for Supreme against TNT Iowa Prep for 31 points. The kid can score the ball very well for a 6’3 small school guard. He’s dropped 30+ in multiple games this summer as well.
