We here at PrepHoops Nebraska are excited to have a circuit event in our backyard, and can’t wait to check out the talented field that will be taking to the court this weekend. Here are some Nebraska 16U prospects who have made some noise so far this summer and that we will most certainly be keeping our eyes on during this weekend’s tournament.
Isaac Traudt Isaac Traudt 6'9" | SF Grand Island | 2022 State #45 Nation NE – Lincoln Supreme National 1/ Grand Island
The 2nd ranked 2022 player in Nebraska, Isaac Traudt Isaac Traudt 6'9" | SF Grand Island | 2022 State #45 Nation NE has had an enormous week of Power 5 offers and will look to cap the weekend off with a tournament championship for his Lincoln Supreme Squad. The 6’9 forward from Grand Island has added offers from Oklahoma State, Iowa State, Stanford, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, and Oklahoma to his list of high major offers that is growing by the week. Traudt can score from all three levels and will be a stellar perimeter player at the next level.
Cale Jacobsen Cale Jacobsen 6'3" | CG Ashland Greenwood | 2022 State NE – Lincoln Supreme National 1/Ashland Greenwood
The 3rd ranked 2022 in Nebraska, Jacobsen is a 6’3 combo guard who is an elite competitor. A gym rat in every sense of the term, Cale is a savvy guard with a high basketball IQ, he can score both inside and outside, while being tough enough to finish through contact when slashing to the basket. Jacobsen has received offers from D2s Nebraska Kearney and Missouri Western State, while also being in contact with D1s such as Boise State, Colorado State, North Dakota State, North Dakota, Northern Colorado, Omaha, Oral Roberts, South Dakota State, and UT Arlington. Jacobsen is looking to turn that interest into his first D1 scholarship offer.
Sam Hastreiter- Lincoln Supreme National 1/Lincoln Pius X
One of the more under the radar 2022 prospects in the state of Nebraska, Sam Hastreiter has both great athleticism and size at 6’6. He can play inside, get to the rim and dunk, as well as shoot it well from outside. I have a feeling he won’t be under the radar for very much longer.

Myles Simon- Lincoln Supreme National 2/Wahoo
I have been told by various people that Simon will be one of, if not the best three-point shooter in the class of 2022. That in and of itself makes him worth watching for me. This past week at the Lincoln Summer League, I saw just why. A 6’3 guard, he’s got a pure jump shot, but also is not afraid to take inside for a tough finish at the rim.
