Join us as we breakdown some game film from events and take a look at some teams and prospects in the state. Today, we are looking at Team Focus 2022 Gold from the Legacy Court Open Run.
Logan Brace – #33 6’2 SG 2022 – Fremont (IN)
Brace is a bigger shooting guard that plays tough. Pretty solid shooter with a smooth shot. Aggressive on the drive is sometimes a little wild with it. Solid at finding his teammates as he found a cut and delivered a nice bounce pass. As a defender he is solid and he did a good job in getting in front of the post player and cutting off the pass. Brace had a good day of play overall.
Dawson Colwell – #15 5’9 PG 2022 – Homestead (IN)
Colwell is a small lead guard that is not afraid to get physical. He is lacking some major size and strength but does not back down from the bigger guards. Not bad on defense, even had a couple of steals. Did a good job in finding his teammates as well. Really just needs to focus on adding some size and getting stronger. Good thing for Colwell is that he has some time to do so.
Xander Dressler – #22 6’3 SF 2022 – Fort Wayne Canterbury (IN)
Dressler is a tall and lanky forward. Has the size to guard both the wing and post spots. Did not do a ton on offense but had a few key rebounds. Just has a thin frame right now and needs to add some muscle. Dressler has a chance to be a solid stretch-forward as his high school career continues.
Micah Gaff – #4 6’0 PG 2022 – Homeschool (IN)
Gaff is a quick guard with some athleticism. Pretty aggressive getting to the rim and had a good amount of rebounds on the day. Solid handles with some nice crossover moves. Did not look to shoot all that much so interested to see what his jumper looks like. Interesting prospect to watch for.
Micah Thompson – #24 6’1 SG 2022 – Blackhawk Christian (IN)
Thompson is a bigger shooting guard with a wide frame. Arguably was the best defender on his team and had some key defensive stops throughout the day, especially in the second game. Also had a good dish and was aggressive getting to the basket. Thompson is a tough player. Going to be big for Blackhawk Christian this year.
