As we head into the heart of the summer, I thought it would be fun to look into possible breakout candidates for the hopeful HS season in the fall. Either they will see their stock go up or finally get those much deserved offers for the first time.

I have 21 breakout seniors to comment about. (15 currently ranked and 6 not ranked)

Here are the first seven potential breakout seniors:

No. 13 [player_tooltip player_id="703810" first="Bailon" last="Black"] (Ironwood)

-Although he is ranked 13 overall, he shockingly has zero offers. He is pushing 6’5 and can shoot, pass and dribble with the best in the state. The baby faced guard showed a glimpse of his huge upside in the state finals with 17 points to win state.

No. 19 [player_tooltip player_id="932073" first="Marko" last="Milivojevic"] (DCC)

-A rare true big with legit size is hard to find these days. He has good hands and a nice touch on his jumper out to the 3pt line. He played behind nationally ranked players and will get his opportunity to play this season.

No. 22 [player_tooltip player_id="809694" first="Moses" last="Demalek"] (Paradise Valley)

-The long 6’6 forward is one of my personal favorites. Not very well known but could be one of the best players in the state next year or at least one of the most productive statistically speaking from points, rebounds and assists. The point forward is a rare one and if we do have a HS season, he will get some heavy looks.

No. 23 [player_tooltip player_id="809688" first="Brett" last="Hardt Jr"] (Phhoenix Prep) (Pictured)

-The lefty guard keeps growing and growing on you as a prospect. Still a little thin but his feel, shooting from mid to the 3pt line, increased height and passing prowess, is starting to separate himself from some of the others at his position.

No. 38 [player_tooltip player_id="809703" first="Derick" last="Kaps"] (Highland)

-The athletic PG was a huge addition to the Hawks last season and they were one of the 6A darlings by upsetting many teams early on. It was mainly due to the strong pure PG play of Kaps. He changes speeds smartly and his jump shot has kicked up a notch last year. Look for Kaps and the Hawks to have another playoff run and he will benefit from it with coaches watching him.

No. 43 [player_tooltip player_id="809686" first="Paris" last="Woods"] (Desert Vista)

-High expectations early on in his career and went through a lot in his life. Most of that is passed him now and he can just focus on hoops and breakout next to a family member in [player_tooltip player_id="809691" first="Marcus" last="Wady"]. The two of them with [player_tooltip player_id="932566" first="Dasean" last="Lecque"] will form a salty group. The younger brother of ASU PG Holland Woods will get more eyes on him while they are winning games. He’s athletic, can make plays and score.

No. 44 [player_tooltip player_id="809693" first="Zach" last="Morgan"] (Pueblo)

-Right near 6’10 now and keeps on getting better. He is super long and tries dunking everything. He rebounds, blocks shots and rim runs. Just on size and movement alone, he will get some college looks.
