Big Shots: Football on the Hardwood

<p>Basketball in the Palmetto State generally takes a back seat to Football. Lets take a look at some players that excel in both sports right here from this weekend at Big Shots-Myrtle Beach. </p> <p><strong>David Sherer - Mauldin HS - Big Shots CPA SC 2022 </strong></p> <p>Sherer looks to be the starter this coming season for the Mavericks on the gridiron as quarterback. Terry Jr finished the season with (93-178) 1,359 passing yards. Terry Jr tossed 14 touchdown passes and threw 12 interceptions. The Tigers were very competitive later in the season and finished the season at (3-8). The Tigers were devastated by graduation the year before. The future is bright in Conway for high school football. Lewis hauled in 23 passes last season for 352 yards for the Golden Flashes. Lewis had 2 touchdowns last season. Burns recorded 4 touchdowns for the Thoroughbreds. Burns plays inside-out on the hardwood floor. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="840217" first="JJ" last="Jones"] - Myrtle Beach HS - Manzer 2021 (pictured on the front)</strong></p> <p>Jones is already committed to the University of North Carolina and Head Coach Mack Brown. Jones came over to Myrtle Beach HS after starting his career at Socastee HS. Jones hauled in 40 receptions - 654 yards and 14 touchdowns. Jones helped the Seahawks get to the Class 4A State Championship Football game vs Wren HS.
