<p>Here is a look into the top 10 prospects in the 2023 class from the Austin-Metroplex. Each of these players made a noticeable impact during the grassroots circuit or for their respective high school varsity squads during their freshman season this past year. </p>

<p><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">#1 - [player_tooltip player_id="787335" first="Ma’Shy" last="Hill"] | 6-8 PF | Pflugerville Hendrickson</span></strong></p>
<p>An athletic post prospect with great feet, Hill shined as a freshman during Hendrickson 24 win season. Hill is an elite shot-blocker and rim protector who has great timing and effort on defense. Does a good job of using his size and length to his advantage bringing down rebounds. On offense, Hill finishes strong with the ball in his hands and has the ability to finish with either hand at the basket. His highlights show good development on several post moves. <em>Earned All-District 13-6A Honorable Mention.</em></p>

<p><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">#2 - [player_tooltip player_id="892139" first="Malik" last="Presley"] | 6-4 SF | San Marcos</span></strong></p>
<p>Presley has great size, length, and athleticism as a small forward prospect and is just scratching the surface of his potential. Averaged 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists per game during district play last season for the Rattlers. Presley is impressive out on fast breaks flashing his athleticism with high flying dunks and finishes. He is also an excellent defender who routinely was able to get his hands on the ball through steals and blocks. <em>Earned All-District 26-6A Second Team. </em></p>

<p><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">#3 - [player_tooltip player_id="957680" first="George" last="Washington"] | 6-0 PG | St. Michael’s Catholic Academy </span></strong></p>
<p>Washington is a big-time scoring threat, especially from beyond-the-arc, who enjoyed a monster freshman season for St. Michael's. Washington has the ability to play either guard position and flashed as a lethal shooter in catch-and-shoot opportunities, but he also showed terrific skill in creating his own shot off the pick-and-roll. When Washington catches fire he can really light up the scoreboard in a hurry. <em>Earned TAPPS All-State 5A Second Team & District 4-5A First Team.</em></p>

<p><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">#4 - [player_tooltip player_id="787332" first="Jaden" last="Greathouse"] | 6-3 SG | Austin Westlake</span></strong></p>
<p>A dual-sport athlete with elite traits in both football and basketball, Greathouse found a way to earn minutes as a freshman on a stacked Westlake roster this past season. As a strong and tough combo-guard, Greathouse displayed accurate passing ability and defensive instincts during his freshman year. He can create his own shot from both beyond-the-arc and by penetrating the lane while finishing strong at the rim. </p>

<p><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">#5 - [player_tooltip player_id="957936" first="Kaden" last="Gumbs"] | 6-0 PG | San Marcos</span></strong></p>
<p>A three-level scorer with plus athleticism, Gumbs shows great instincts on the court. Averaged 14 points, 2 assists, and 2 rebounds per game during district play last season for San Marcos. Gumbs has smooth handles and knows how to get to his spots on the floor. Is a good deep-range shooter who can hit from anywhere beyond-the-arc. He is also a bouncy athlete who does a great job finishing in transition. <em>Earned All-District 26-6A Second Team.</em></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>#6 - [player_tooltip player_id="787343" first="Josh" last="Jones"] | 6-9 PF | St. Michael’s Catholic Academy </strong></span></p>
<p>Jones is a dominating post presence who crashes the boards hard and does a great job of finishing around the basket and on the block. He shows good movement ability in the pick-and-roll game. Plays strong in the paint and does a good job of using his body to get position in the low post. Is also a capable shot blocker who makes an impact as a rim protector. Jones is someone who could see his stock rise over the course of summer ball and the next high school season. </p>

<p><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">#7 - [player_tooltip player_id="892165" first="Levi" last="Rutledge"] | 6-5 SG | Cedar Park</span></strong></p>
<p>A combo-guard who has the potential to grow into a small forward prospect, Rutledge plays a smooth brand of basketball and can score at all three levels. He does a great job moving without the ball and finds ways to get open in the paint as a slasher. Has a consistent mid-range jumper off the dribble. Rutledge can also get to the rim at will and is a smooth finisher at the basket. Rutledge will be a big-time playmaker at the guard position for Cedar Park moving forward.</p>

<p><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">#8 - [player_tooltip player_id="957938" first="Dylon" last="Richardson"] | 5-11 PG | Hutto</span></strong></p>
<p>A physically imposing point guard with a great frame, Richardson is a bulldog on the court who can fill up the stat sheet. During limited playing time as a freshman on a deep Hutto roster, Richardson averaged 3.3 points, 1.7 assists, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per contest in 18 games logged. He did particularly well at creating turnovers on defense and pushing the pace in the fast break. On offense, Richardson is a pass-oriented point guard who is also a good spot-up shooter from beyond-the-arc.</p>

<p><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">#9 - [player_tooltip player_id="787358" first="Tory" last="Simmons"] | 5-7 PG | Pflugerville Weiss</span></strong></p>
<p>A lightning-quick and explosive point guard, Simmons was fantastic on defense during his freshman year constantly creating turnovers and using his instincts to get steals. Simmons averaged 5.7 points, 3.5 assists, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game in 27 games logged. He is a crisp passer with good court vision who has an innate ability to find open teammates. Simmons is also a capable deep-range shooter who has pull-up ability. <em>Earned All-District 17-5A Honorable Mention.</em></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>#10 - Jayden Barrs | 6-0 PG | Manor</strong></span></p>
<p>Barrs made an impact late in his freshman season for Manor as he became a key player during their playoff-run. A tall and athletic point guard prospect, Barrs shows good instincts on the court and is a playmaker on both offense and defense. Barrs will be a player to keep an eye on as he could see his stock rise with more playing time on varsity for Manor this upcoming season. <em>Earned All-District 18-5A Honorable Mention.</em></p>
