Stepping into a Starring Role. Six-foot-6/6-foot-7 forward [player_tooltip player_id="774858" first="Shane" last="Stevenson"] of Nicollet could become a quality D3 or NAIA prospect after his 18 a game.

Get to Know This Pair. [player_tooltip player_id="957217" first="Kegan" last="Heiderscheidt"] of Sleepy Eye is a player we really hoped to see this summer at 17u or in the Breakdown summer events. He’s a 6-foot-6 point guard that passes at a high level plus scored 15 a contest. Then you have [player_tooltip player_id="957639" first="Ethan" last="Nickel"] of Mountain Lake Area-Comfrey who scored 17 a game as a junior. Nickel’s team was full of seniors but it was Nickel who became the most dependable.

Division One Players? [player_tooltip player_id="850739" first="Teigan" last="Martin"] of Mayer Lutheran was recently offered as a football prospect and he was a Minnesota Gopher basketball guest this past winter. At 6-foot-8 and mobile Teigan is a scholarship talent, and he could be a D1 player. Martin is playing with Grassroots Sizzle 16u this summer. Then you have Ja’Sean Glover of Madelia who scored 28 points a game earning third team all state status. Glover is playing up on the Southwest Minnesota Stars 17u club.

Andree is the shooter, he scored 16 a game with his three point touch. Zeldenrust stands 6-foot-8 and is the man in the middle taking away deep paint attempts. Loeffler is Mr Active on the wing rebounding in bulk, scoring, and defending aggressively. Ward is the playmaker handling the ball and setting the offense up for the team and Embacher is the 5-foot-8 guard that was the biggest surprise this year. All but Zeldenrust averaged double digits.

Stepping Into Bigger Roles. New Ulm Cathedral, WEM, Springfield, and BOLD all lost five of their top six players from top teams. BOLD has Sagedahl while the others lost their best player. Who steps in at the other schools? [player_tooltip player_id="958817" first="Sam" last="Knowles"] of New Ulm Cathedral scored 10 a game and is their lone returning starters. Domanik Paulson of WEM played a big role last year and could have a huge junior season following his 15 points per game.
