#1 [player_tooltip player_id="830601" first="Tevin" last="Smith"] (Danville)

Smith has been the top central Illinois prospect in this class for a while. He is a wing with size, athleticism, and scoring ability. A lot of schools are closely monitoring how he will return from his two injuries over the last year that held him out of all travel team season and part of the high school year. When he is on he is so freaking talented with his pull up jump shot and explosiveness around the hoop. He showed that early in the season with Danville at the Team Rose event.

#2 [player_tooltip player_id="920943" first="James" last="Dent"] (Springfield Southeast)

Dent is a rangy two guard that can let it fly from the perimeter. Feathery jump shooter that consistently knocks down shots at a high rate. Moves well without the ball to get open. We thought he showcased more to his game as a junior playing some with the ball in his hands even having a bit of creativity as a passer. Slithery scorer that will get buckets at the next level!

#3 [player_tooltip player_id="995969" first="Bennie" last="Slater"] (Springfield)

Slater is primed to make a major debut in our next PHI 2021 Rankings! Works well in the mid-range with his size at 6’5”. The small forward can hit mid-range jumpers for days. Can put it on the deck a little and is an excellent passer. Has some point forward to his game.

#4 [player_tooltip player_id="765217" first="KJ" last="Debrick"] (Springfield Lanphier)

Debrick is one of the most intriguing big men in the class. He is a late bloomer that has his defensive game ahead of his offense. Major shot blocking presence that has timing and feel for swatting shots. Rebounds very well in his area with his long arms. Offensively he flashed as a junior with touch inside 10 feet.

#5 [player_tooltip player_id="920965" first="Jaylen" last="Bryson"] (Champaign Centennial)

Long and thin 6’8” post from Central Illinois that has developmental upside. Hook shot around the hoop, can stretch it out to three with his shot, and is a rim protector. Best basketball could be ahead of him.

#6 [player_tooltip player_id="920961" first="Noah" last="Reynolds"] (Peoria Notre Dame)

Reynolds is a crafty 6’3” point guard that has a good feel for the game. He gets to the rim by using quality angles. Acrobatic finishes around the hoop finishing with nifty conversions at the cup.

#7 [player_tooltip player_id="652746" first="Luke" last="Braman"] (Roanoke Benson)

Braman led his team to the state final four before the season was cancelled. He has great size at 6’9” with mobility and feel for scoring in the paint. Runs the floor with fluidity. Passes well out of the post and is a solid area rebounder.

#8 [player_tooltip player_id="821764" first="Devon" last="Vanderheydt"] (Washington)

This combo forward is very intriguing at the next level because of the way he can shoot the rock. Stretch four that can knock down spot up or pick/pop threes for days! Starts the break with good outlet passes!

#9 [player_tooltip player_id="920974" first="Landon" last="Moore"] (Bloomington)

Moore is a scoring point guard that has super deep range on his three point shot. Works well around ball screens and is crafty with the rock in his hands. Smart guard that plays with pace at the lead guard spot.

#10 [player_tooltip player_id="920959" first="Nathanael" last="Hoskins"] (Danville)

Left handed point guard that has a thicker body. Crafty with the ball in his hands using strength through the lane. Hits mid-range pull ups and is a sound passer.

#11 [player_tooltip player_id="920962" first="Jordan" last="Rice"] (Rock Island)

Rice is a high level leader that plays much bigger than his height at the point. The 5’9” guard is quick and athletic with the ball in his hands. Has the ability to create his own shot including deep threes which he makes at a decent clip. Gets in the lane where he converts with acrobatics.

#12 [player_tooltip player_id="920979" first="Shane" last="Miller"] (Springfield)

Miller is one of the more underrated lead guards in the class. The 6’1” guard is smooth with the rock in his hands. Really like his pull up game from mid-range and three. He can score from multiple levels and is a solid passer in the half court.

#13 [player_tooltip player_id="920998" first="Demarco" last="Clayton"] (Bloomington)

Clayton is a two guard that brings plus athleticism to the table. Explosive slashing wing that has a burst getting to the rim where he finishes with pop. Capable shooter off the catch. Could develop into a pretty good defender.

#14 [player_tooltip player_id="995974" first="Tyvin" last="Garrison"] (Springfield)

Garrison is a long and thin power forward that stands at about 6’5”. His junior season he really improved as a spot up shooting threat. You combine that with his bounce around the hoop on both ends and you got something!

#15 [player_tooltip player_id="921013" first="Connor" last="Barnett"] (Fulton)

Barnett is right inside the Iowa border on the Illinois side. He has positional size at 6’3” and can really shoot the ball from the perimeter off the catch and pulling up.
