Who is Cal Greene Cal Greene 6'7" | SF Mahtomedi | 2021 MN ? Our mid-winter watch of Greene seems to explain it best:
“A 6-foot-6 small forward that is scoring 15 a game this season. Greene is really good behind the defense and he was able to finish at the rim with physical finishes in small windows. Greene also hit a pair of jumpers showing off a touch that looks promising and I thought he passed the ball really well from the wing and moving around in the high post area. A good physique, was comfortable with the ball on the perimeter meaning he should be able to play the three at the next level, and totaled 16 points on 16 attempts with eight boards. Definitely looks like a scholarship level prospect.”
We caught with Greene to chat on what he is doing this spring to keep his game moving forward.
“During this pandemic I’ve been playing basketball and doing workouts outside on the outdoor hoops,” Cal said ’For conditioning I’ve been going to the Mahtomedi High School track and running sprints. Thankfully my strength/agility trainer has sent me weekly workouts that have kept my strength and agility up.”
Greene will join a talented 17u team for events in July (assuming the Fury plays in July).
“I’m playing with the Fury this summer and I started hitting the weight room three times a week and training everyday.”
College coaches will definitely be tuning in to Baller TV to see Cal play if he takes the court in July.
“I’m hearing from a couple of D1 school and multiple D2 schools,” Cal explained. “I’ve called with some schools haven’t had any visits yet.”
