These new players emerging are underclassmen, seldom used players or simply players that have been under the radar. There are players that play in solid programs that find themselves buried behind upperclassmen.
There are also players that sat out due to a transfer and those players that missed the season due to injury.
With things starting to open up now we look forward to finding more players that need that exposure.
6’4 Justus Jackson-Fobbs (Cyprus)
With a handful of players opening up spaces due to graduation Justus will fill in nicely. Growing 3 inches since the beginning of this past season the Class of 2023 Justus could continue to grown and help the young core at Cyprus really be successful. He’s an athletic player that has versatile skill near the basket. He is a raw basketball player that will only improve with time.
6’1 Jett Lundberg Jett Lundberg 6'2" | PG Alta | 2022 State UT (Alta)
Jett should be able to see the floor this year at Alta after this past years guard log-jam. Jett has a quick first step and a confident game. He can create his own shot but also not overly press the issue. He has a great feel for the game. Jett is a Class of 2022 prospect.
6’4 David Calvert (Fremont)
Although Fremont looses a lot of their pieces in an epic State Championship run they have a solid player coming into the fold. David is a player that finds ways to score. He has a knack for the ball. He’s a player that should find his way on the floor. David is a Class of 2023 player.
6’1 Russell Gibson (Wasatch Academy)
Young incoming freshman with skill and athletic ability. He passes the eye ball test and could be a nice prospect in years to come. Can shoot the 3-ball and get to the cup. He has some bounce as well.
