One Player To Watch: Travis Grayson Travis Grayson 5'10" | PG Chesterton | 2022 State IN
Grayson is a tough, small guard who can really make some plays. He looks great when driving as he has a pretty good first step, and he uses his strength really well to get to the rim. He doesn’t look to shoot often, but he does have that in his arsenal if he wants to pull it out. However, he is so good at driving and creating that he doesn’t need to show off his shooting skills often. Defensively he has the skill to really be effective as an on-ball guy because of that speed and shake. With his driving and scoring ability, he has the potential to put up big numbers this summer.
One Player We Need To See More: Thomas Barone Thomas Barone 6'11" | C Bosco Institute | 2022 State IN
Barone is a big post with a good frame. His talent is incredibly raw right now, but he has improved every year that he has played. His rebounding ability has really improved, and he can track it off the rim better as well as go get it. His post scoring is kind of all over the place. He needs to improve his handling quite a bit, if he is going to be able to score in the post. He is getting better every time out, and he has top-level size, so if he can improve his scoring ability, he will have a chance to be a top player.
One Player That Should Surprise: Jalen Bullock Jalen Bullock 6'7" | PF Calumet New Tech | 2022 State IN
Bullock is a big, bruising post player with a little bit of a raw skillset. He’s a guy that should really grow into his game because he’s mobile, long, and strong now. His go-to move is over his right shoulder, but if he is going to take his name to the next level, he will need to add another move with his off-hand. He has a great frame and good size, so he should be able to surprise some people paired with Barone in the post this summer.
